Thanks for the video. Question and a Comment. First, the question: is the metal latch on the bottom of the camera supposed to be covered by leather that just wore out, or was always supposed to stick out (if you know). The Comment: there is an aperture ring in the lens that I think you don't show viewers (works on the unit I just bought). Anyway, thanks again.

Hi, thank you for taking your time to watch and comment. Given the condition of this particular camera, I think the tab was not originally covered in leather but exposed. What would support this is the fact that the leather would get easily ripped if it covered the latch. Yes, you are right in regards to the aperture, I did use it but didn't show it. How do you like your camera?

@@krisb8781 Many thanks for so quick a response. My unit of this camera is being repaired, so I haven't run film through it yet. And my current dilemma is whether there should be leather over the bottom latch. The Kodak Instruction Manual for the No.3 String Set camera clearly says that the latch IS covered by leather, which leads me to believe that this should be true for the No. 2 as well and that the leather just wore through on mine and perhaps yours. (The No. 1 had no latch on the bottom.) But I can't find an Instruction Manual for the No.2 and so can't be sure, which is why I asked. Thanks for your opinion on this, which makes me unsure whether to cover the latch or not, though I may just do so.

@@LobaloboIsben I have two of these #2 cameras and yes, one has leather still covering the push button on the bottom. The other has the exposed metal of the button.

What film did you use for this? They don't make that film anymore.
