I just purchased one of these cameras. I stumbled across this video afterwards. Thank you for all the information!

I love the early box cameras. I have a few Kodak Brownies in my collection. With a little TLC they can take superb pictures.

How could you reskin the camera? I'm looking for ones and all the ones in my price range are quite used, the leather doesn't look good for display. Thanks fronk

I didn't know pocket cameras went back that far. I normally think of the 1970s 110 format when someone says pocket camera.

Have you managed to run any film through these cameras? I imagine you would have mentioned if you had. Any ideas on how on might run some modern film through these cameras?

Hello. I didn't run any film unfortunately. You could technically cut the roll of 120 film and respool it on the original reels. I may try that but cutting film from width is a little challenging in the past I used cigars cutter to trim film to use in my universal camera that took small 00 film.

Interesting video. Love the non existent health and safety back then. An alcohol burning lamp igniting some gun powder beggars belief. In Kind Hearts and Coronets I think Alec Guinness' character bumped off one of his relatives who was into photography by utilising all the unstable chemicals in his little studio shed. Very funny film 😀
