This experience I had is insignificant compared to the issues these witnesses are speaking on. But about four years ago I had a real estate representative with two Chinese ladies show up on our property, I "ours" but we didn't own it. My partner had been renting the big old house and lands for almost twenty years. The owner was an older man living in Florida who greatly appreciated the monthly rent check and not having to do upkeep. We did it all. Anyhow, it was a couple acres in a prime rural area a little north of Seattle. So around 10 in the morning I begin hearing voices that sounded near by. So I go out to investigate and this real estate guy is standing about thirty feet away from our front door. He was showing our home to these Chinese women. I approached and asked if he had the owner's permission. He tried to laughingly blow it off that he didn't. He said he was just doing a preliminary showing to these ladies. I was so angry! What gall! But I politely told him that they needed to go and that China was already buying up too much of our land. I did not trust them. Two women could be acquiring properties for the CCP. I do not trust China at all.

I've seen an area here is DFW where there is not a single lot left to be developed...there is no more land to build on. Much of what was left was sold to build warehouse space near DFW airport. He told me none of his kids or family had an interest in continuing it. There's the other problem. Foreigners have been buying businesses gas stations. Convenient stores. Motels and hotels there are enough people that own businesses here that shouldn't be able to. I have been telling people for decades now that foreigners own us because they own lots of our businesses. Money does not stay in this country, it is spent others.

Hemp should be grown today on a mass scale in the US. As you said, it offers multiple avenues of uses, especially in its fibers. When comparing to cotton, one acre of hemp can produce equally what it takes around 3 to 4 acres of cotton to produce. It is much more of a hardy plant and can grow and thrive in substandard soils. It can grow to maturity in a third to a half of the time that it takes cotton to mature. Its durability far exceeds the cotton fiber, and lastly, hemp uses a considerable amount less of water to reach maturity. The fact that hemp was outlawed to grow and/or study in the first place was a crime in itself and was only done to protect the cotton industry and its investors because they knew hemp was a far better product. ✌🏻

If the soybean market is flooded and the price drops below sustainability GROW SOMETHING ELSE there are many highly valuable crops like quinoa a highly nutritious grain with good storage life. Farmers need to get back to retaining multiple years worth of seed crops so they can weather crop failures and droughts without begging everyone to cover for their lack of preparedness and forsight.
