I just did this and it took me a week of 6-10 hour cleanings. I thought it would take two days lol. My advice for anyone is to hire someone to do the general deep clean including appliances and floors if you can afford it. That way you can wash walls and clean small space and little nooks and details. I always treat myself to a huge food order and treats

Try the FlyLady system, you do a basic weekly clean and daily routines, then clean everything else in zones so it doesn't get overwhelming.

@@Fivetimesthree yeah , I'd do a donation haul. I kept the main outfits I wear plus some nicer dresses and laundry is so easy to do lol but having kids makes finding time a lot harder. So usually I try to wrangle him into helping me since he's 8 and still listens to me 😂😅

Maybe you already do this but if you don’t, I highly recommend opening the windows every morning. I’ve been realizing that it’s not common in the US 😅 Just fold back the covers and open the window completely for about 5 minutes. Helps let your mattress breathe, replenishes the oxygen in the room and it’s nice for waking up :)
@jordynensor20818 ай бұрын
really? i’m in the us and i have my bedroom window open pretty much 24/7. maybe it depends on the state?

i have like a window screen and all the houses where i am do too so maybe like in areas that don’t have those it’s less common to open the windows
@BengtBagels7 ай бұрын
@@jordynensor2081 Where I live the air quality is almost in a constant state-of-being in a high level poor-air-quality conditions. So... "Open that window if you want to... and see what happens" Example, a few years ago I was going to be recoverying from a out-patient day-surgery. Pretty standard but still needed a recovery time. So my friend volunteered to "help" me, while I recovered. Well, she opened the all the windows, when I was asleep. I was jolted from sleep with really horrible coughing. Me. I was the one coughing. It was so hard too. Also, my eyes werent just puffy but swollen, and I had a massive headache. Then, I notice how hot the home was... and my curtain blowing ever so slightly. Was she tryinf to unalive me, cuz she was doing her best! I walk out into the living room and my Air Purifier is completely turned off. She is staring at me like: "Good God!? What happened to you?!" She happened. She happened to me. I dont say anything... I turn my Air Purifier back on. It's a pretty large one. It does the entire home. Then, I made some hot tea to soothe my irritated throat and lungs... and put meds on my eyes... then, made a small bag to leave... She keeps asking what to do to help. I asked her to close up all the windows and take me to the hospital. I ended up having to get breathing treatments and a hospital stay anyway... Oh and also we arent friends anymore - but not because of this. This was just one of the teeny tiny pebbles tossed on to the pile of reasons we need to not be friends. So yeah, definately depends where you live.
@daniellemartin98966 ай бұрын
We have too much pollution and/ or pollen in a lot of the US. So opening the windows would mean letting all that undesirable stuff in and it getting all over your home.
@Rooibostea59596 ай бұрын
@@daniellemartin9896you should at minimum open your windows twice a day, for at least 15 minutes to get rid of CO2. Too much CO2 in your house can be more toxic than just pollens. You should invest in air purifiers if your area has that much pollution/pollens.

Also, to keep my make up clean (I too use my hands for application) I keep washcloths in my cabooble and wipe my hands constantly between products!

Here's a tip to prevent your makeup from makeup build-up. Use a wet towel or wipe to wipe your hands between touching and cleaning your containers as you see the stains. I use Pampers Aqua baby wipes for this against my tinted sunscreen. First, I use the wipe to wash my face and then keep the wipe to use to clean, so I do not waste my wipes.

if its helpful for anyone - with the caboodle, what I would do is just take it into the shower with a bottle brush and a little dr bronners. the water pressure sprays out alot of the dust and powder and then you don't have to poke your finger with the wipe into the little crevices. Same with the makeup, spray it all down in the sink and dry it off with a towel. Anything plastic or ceramic I just take to the sink and blast the dust off with water as long as it seems safe to do

my tip for not getting makeup/product on the outside of your makeup’s packaging is to keep a little cloth on the side while youre doing your makeup to wipe your fingers clean, you can buy multiple so youre not constantly having to wash a single one (if youre in a pinch though makeup wipes or wet wipes work just as well albeit less eco-friendly) the same goes for applying skincare

To keep my makeup clean I keep a refillable bottle of liquid hand sanitizer w each bag (at home and traveling) along with a microfiber cloth. I usually spray it down (along w mirrors) then wipe w cloth. I also spray my hands first then wipe w cloth & when I’m done I’ll toss the cloth into the laundry basket.
