It's actually not as hard as you think. Not to say its easy or that I'm on his level, far from it but essentially, you just draw what think is right with loose scribbles. It should be a relaxing drawing.

I agree! If you wanna give birth to ideas on your head (images) you gotta practice and practice and practice. No matter if you just don't make "much advance" per day. Every time you dedicate to it will help you out and in the future you'll be able to create everything that comes from your mind... but of course, never stop practicing.

By far the best use of a brush pen is that of Yoji Shinkawa. Many times I am presented with pieces drawn using the brush pen that lack the same wonderful use of the pens unique properties. Shinkawa obtains many wonderful textures, tones and even shading from one instrument. Many artists simply use this pen to outline illustrations and never realise the tools full potential.

@unstoppableExodia6 жыл бұрын
Yeah from what I can gather the brushpen is a popular inking tool for manga artists however they use it mainly for inking large black shapes while Shinkawa-san uses it very differently and deftly to his credit.

@TNA-Aylin4 жыл бұрын
Eredon Kim Jung ji (most of the time) mainly uses brush pen due to the scale of his larger inks whereas yoji incorporates the variety in shapes as to portray characters without nessiserly useing full detail unlike Kim Jung Jim who uses Mictiulus amounts of detail

@@TheArtOfMind I ended up buying both the MGS 1 art book and MGS 2, and just marveled at them for days lol. These days a fair amount of instagram based artists really put a run for top spot (parkjinsuky is an incredible example of this I recommend checking him out), I'd say he's still in my top 2 or 3. The thing that impresses me most about Shinkawa is that I never really see him lay a light pencil sketch down first, he just commits and makes beautiful art, and that makes me really respect him.
@ArtofTZU2 жыл бұрын
This is my 80-++ th time watching this video.... and have done countless studies on his technique. It's one thing if & when one can achieve his strokes, it's another to know his thought & design process.... the designs he has done on the characters, mechas, vehicles etc. Not only is he a good artist, but an amazing designer as well.

I love how pencil is just another art material for him and not something that needs to be erased, it gives tone and depth to the final drawing
@PhillipP935 жыл бұрын
From looking at his work, he seems to be influenced heavily by how a fine artist approaches a canvas. He's not worried about what he's supposed to be drawing, he's more concerned about the lines and shapes that compose of what he's supposed to be drawing.
@mattymclaughlin5900 Жыл бұрын
Yeah but how do you draw if you don’t know what it is you’re drawing
@PhillipP93 Жыл бұрын
@@mattymclaughlin5900 You can know what it is that you want to draw, but in his case, he's focusing on creating the forms that will shape into the thing he's trying to draw. It comes from practice and experience. For example, when he drew Snake's nose, he quickly sketched a few general lines, and a big bold shadow, and we could instantly identify it as a nose, even though he didn't construct everything.

It’s best the find your own rhythm, your own style of drawing. And soon enough, you’ll feel amazed on what you can do, and having the possibility of receiving praise Discovering a style begins your journey on top of the mountain. Practicing advances you up, it’s a long way up to the top. And it can leave marks on what you’ve been doing, but with determination and a reason to work is honestly as important as your work 😊
