since living on my own, i've learned things can be expensive, especially when your checks aren't the greatest. I just spent $600 at Sams club and it hurt my heart a little . I came to find someone that can teach me because I have been wanting to coupon but didn't know where to start. I live in California and I noticed that a develop my breakdown but once I go shop all my stores are 1 to 2 dollars more than what they stated on the website or app and it throws everything off. I could just order them online and pick them up to get the online price but then they wouldn’t print out my receipt afterwards, so I am unable to scan for any rebates I aimed to get. Do you experience that same problem? What should I do moving forward?

So just add 1-2 dollar difference to your breakdown when you arrive. Don’t let the price difference deter you. Most online and in store prices differ

Welcome. Are you talking about Walgreens? Cash rewards is Walgreens cash & it’s all digital. Register reward is a paper reward coupon

So how does the rebates work with each app like ibotta, shopkick, fetch, swagbucks? You have to pay full price leaving the stores and then scan receipt and does that money get put back on your paypal credit card or bank card in the form of a deposit? Like those apps require you to attach a card to them or something?

Hi Krys! Thanks for your tips. I just wanted to comment that getting the rewards coupons from CVS can lead to overestimating your savings, because you count the savings when you buy, but then you also count that rewards coupon off the cost of your next purchase. Do you have any tips on how to avoid that? Also, I keep seeing ads for Shopmium, which appears to be similar to Ibotta. Are you familiar with this one? Do you recommend it?

I only count my rewards when I receive them not when I used them. Using them just helps to lower my oop but I don’t count them towards my final cost. Never heard of or used shopmium

You can only use 1 mq per item. So if the digital says mq and you have a paper coupon it’s the same coupon just in a different form
