Wonder if NVIDIA ever showed Sega their graditude later on for not pulling out of their deal and preventing their collapse and allowing them to become what they are?...

Would be so dope if Nvidia acquired Sega from Nintendo and rebuilt the company with decent stories and games.
@Nick-jf7ku4 ай бұрын
Why would they do that. just look at the history of the blue LED the guy who made that got jack shit. despite turning a 150-200k a year company in to a multi billion cooperation in less than 7 years he ended up leaving and starting his own company using his OWN Ideas his old company tried to Sue him for sharing company secrets despite it being him alone that came up it against the company's wishes and made them insanely rich Lives in the US now and runs and Micro Led company looking to make UV LED for cleaning and other stuff. So no they will no be thanking them.. its no there way

This is business, not a fairy tale. But, the possibility of Nvidia acquiring SEGA isn’t exactly out of the realm of possibility.

@@nrrdpanda ...Nintendo never has had ownership of SEGA in any shape or form? Sammy currently owns SEGA... Also, Nvidia would likely have almost zero interest in owning SEGA... Nvidia's market is no longer gamers/gaming specifically, their clients are primarily businesses/datacenters, as they can profit tens of thousands of dollars off of a single sale compared to the very miniscule amount they'd make selling a single GPU to a gamer. (or even hundreds of gpus to hundreds of gamers) This video even points out how Nvidia has made a LOT more money through other deals than their SEGA partnership. Yes, the SEGA partnership at the time saved them, but does that mean they'd automatically save SEGA if the same thing occurred to them? No, that's not how business works. Besides, SEGA's doing just fine without Nvidia right now...

I believe that focussing on the dangers of a.i. is not where we'll avoid annihilation. Instead our fous should be on humanities inability to keep their morals intact when dealing with greed. If humanity can align with morality and replace greed with compassion, then just maybe a.i. would find that we're worthy of sharing this space we call the world. It's evident a.i. is here to stay and that it's presence will expediently expand. Similar to how humans did early in our arrival, they can either see us as ants that are not worth worrying about and just build their world without considering how it effects us or they could see that we are good in nature and realize their existence is because of us, which may result in an appreciation, thus not exterminating us. Honestly though, I don't see the latter occurring due to a combination of reasons. On the other hand I see a way to assure we as a species can address the morality issue but I can't determine how to deploy this idea... 😔

Most computational neuroscientists estimate the human brain's storage capacity to lie between 10 and 100 terabytes, though the full spectrum of guesses ranges from 1 terabyte to 2.5 petabytes. We are approaching a moment in time where all of the data that our consciousness holds, in its entirety, may very well be transferred to a computer chip.

I think we need proper legislation around AI before we keep advancing it. Otherwise we can end up going too far before we have anything to counter it in a worst case scenario. I want AI to be great, but not without a way to properly regulate it's use and training. I don't have a political or legal based education, so I don't know what laws to put in place. I can only hope someone with those backgrounds can come up with something suitable. Perhaps a law that ensures artists who get their art used to train AI get paid per AI generated image or per piece of their art used in training?
