This is always my thought. I've never had my car stolen but I've had vandalism and it's disruption of one's day and money out of your pocket. And your insurance goes up even when it is not your fault. The CHP was obviously not in life saving mode so wherever the pieces of the body are they're probably scattered with the pieces of the nice CRV . Sad day for the CRV.

Yep. Saw the live stream on ABC7. Some of us caught something being thrown out the vehicle with force onto the field. Couldn't tell what exactly it was. If it was her or debris. So when I went to replay it again, the footage has been edited. It no longer shows what happens after the vehicle makes impact. Which then leaves me to believe it was her being thrown out the vehicle. It was brutal and horrific seeing how hard she made impact with the cement pillar. RIP.

I saw the speedometer was going up as she approached the turn. I’m understanding that she floored the gas pedal in the middle of the turn and went straighter than she anticipated - lost control. NEVER floor the gas pedal while turning (unless you’re a drift expert)

Sorry to burst your bubble but you’re wrong. Hondas are FWD which means you’re supposed to gradually gas thru the turn. (Not floor it, of course) if you break in a turn you will will transfer all the weight to the front tires, the back side will become unstable (light) and you will spin out.

When ABC7 aired it live, you see something being flung out onto the field with such force. That footage of theirs has now been edited and it no longer shows a clearer sight of the impact of the crash. In fact, it no longer shows the crash. Which means that it was her that flew out the vehicle. Not sure if it was all of her or part of her. Either way, it was brutal, horrific and live.

She was driving a CRV, not a Mercedes AMG, which is designed for high speeds, and just as importantly, braking and cooling. I think they even said on the broadcast the CRV wasn’t equipped for this. She cooked her brakes on the grapevine and maybe had no pedal left to explain trying to take that curve at 115.

Stolen cars is a thing of the past. Every block has plate reader cameras that alerts cops exactly where you're at. Same thing with stolen plates. These cameras know plates don't match car. You'll get pulled over either way.

I agree that 150mph is way too much, but the reason cars are allowed to go faster than the speed limit is to do with wear on the engine. If the speed limit is 70mph and the engine is designed only to do 70mph, then there's no extra headroom for emergencies. Also it would mean the engine running at 100% doing simple things like the highway - and running the engine at 100% for that long is going to cause it to blow up. It also means that any change in a speed limit means the engine might now be underpowered and unsafe.

@ 8:15. After the impact, you can see her body being thrown onto the field. ABC7 aired that whole side of the crash live and some of us saw the body fly in that same direction when she made impact on that cement pillar. Here, right when the camera begins to zoom in onto the field, the picture goes into a black screen. Then the camera zooms in again and you see something dark on the field. It's her. That's the part that got cut out on the ABC7 footage. But here you can see the body before the video ends. It's at the bottom right of your screen. I don't think they noticed otherwise this footage would also be edited. @ 10:50 you see something there. When it aired live, I caught something off the bottom corner of the screen and I tried to slow it all the way down to get a better view of what it was, whether it was her or debris. That is until I noticed that footage got edited and they cut out that whole entire moment after she made impact on the guard rail and hit the cement pillar. And that's how I knew it was her body that flung out. It was still too fast to make out when I slowed it all the way down to know what it was her that I saw get thrown out onto the field. Now I know. RIP.
