Rekluse dont list the anti-stall clutch as being available for the 390 Duke, so how did this bike get fitted with it?

Just installed the Rekluse to my KTM 390, simply awesome, but have a few questions in my mind.
@llIGeeIll5 жыл бұрын
One thing which bugs me at the moment is the fact that it doesn't really "pulls the clutch in" before 8k rpm in gear 4 and 5 and 8k is bit too much. Even in 2nd and 3rd gear I have to go up to 6-7k to be able to shift up (without using the clutch), I don't know if this is the default and my retailer used those settings while installing the clutch. As far as I know it is adjustable but not much more info on that for regular people like me :D

How you like it? I'm getting a KTM 390 with rekluse clutch and Remus exhaust does it mean it's like automatic shift?
@llIGeeIll4 жыл бұрын
@@coolshariq semi automatic, you dont have to bother with the clutch, you can upshift (at a higher rpm) and down shift without using it. This means that you never stall whatever gear you are in, also which I like the most is you dont have to go down to gear 1 when stopping, just leave it in gear 2 and you can easily lift off from 2. However, in the meantime if you want you can use the clutch anytime.

@@llIGeeIll you say you can't upshift in lower rpm. Do you have quickshifter plus installed 🤔 what happens when you try to upshift at 3 4 thousand rpm
@llIGeeIll3 жыл бұрын
@@sambhrantlamba not sure about the quickshifter, bought the clutch package from Ktm and handed over to the ktm service after I reached a thousand km to put it in. It basically doesn't allow you to shift up, just blocks it. Somewhere I read that you can adjust it to allow you to shift up at lower rpm but for that you will need to take it apart again. I will ask the service during this year's maintenance if they are able to do it. Unfortunately there aren't much experience with this clutch around here.

Hi hoping you can help I'm looking for a auto clutch for my wife's yamaha fazer 1000 she has developed problems with her left hand and can't pull the clutch. I watched your video of the bike with the auto clutch and thought great she can still ride her bike but Rekluse don't list her bike Would it be possible that you would have clutches you could match up with the yamaha so I can get one for the wife There's no one here in the UK that stocks the clutches thanks big Mike

Does it come pre-installed with 2019 model??...thanks!
@sereneturmoil5 жыл бұрын
No, it doesn't come stock. But you can purchase it from, and have it installed by your KTM dealer. I just bought my 2019 390 Duke with the Rekluse Radius X Centrifugal clutch kit installed at purchase and for parts and labour it was $911.11 CDN. Which isn't necessarily inexpensive when you consider the bike itself was only $5499, but I think it's worth every penny. Especially as a new rider.

Why not make it fully automatic? That way it'll take ALL the fun out of riding it. Jees

Personally I like the auto clutch on my Honda 450 I trail ride a lot and constantly pulling and feathering the clutch gets old real fast
@nextgen894 ай бұрын
I just need it for first gear. Either I just suck, or my 2023 duke 390 is insanely easy to stall in first, I have to release the clutch over the course of like 5-10 seconds and go ultra slow.. either that or jolt forward like a rocket
@steven-vn9ui4 ай бұрын
@@nextgen89 Yeah, they run really lean for emmisions, couple that with short stroke and low mass of engine and it is easy to stall. You can fit a device like an Rapid Bike Easy to richen the mixture to an acceptable level which smooths the bike out a lot and stops the jerking etc. I got a Royal Enfield Classic 350 recently and that bike is night annd day - so smooth and comfy. Kept the Duke though for when I fancy a rip! All the best mate

why would you do such a thing? if you want auto, get a Honda Africa or a scooter.
@KF1 Жыл бұрын
some people have arthritis or injuries, or do a lot of trail riding and don't want to be on the clutch all day. Also for stop-n-go traffic, or on KTMs that have known stalling problems.
