I'm so relieved that our Noraly got to have an easy day in which she "saved" her energy for the long stage of the next day. I was almost worn out by her gasping for breath in picking up Savannah out of the sand and fighting through the dunes. And struggling through a stuck throttle too. 99.9% of riders would have called it a day when that happened. But, just another day on the Kalahari for the amazing Itchy Boots.

Yes, I'm worn out too, just watching her, but she's so ready to do what's needed, and that's what endears her to her viewers. Wishing her the best in the next stage! I'm not so sure it will wear her out, as these things are calculated to be doable. And, she's up to it, for sure! Hoping we see some of the other riders interact with her in the next stages. Good job, Noraly!

This geography is uncannily reminiscent of Australia's Simpson Desert. We have a race in Australia called the Finke River Desert Race in the Northern Territory. It's a multi-terrain, two-day race for bikes, cars, buggies and quads through desert country from Alice Springs to the small Aputula, or Finke community. There are often over 600 competitors racing over a 460km course and it's open to anyone who wants to compete. You and Savannah would be in your element, Noraly!

Yes, I like that as well! There's always that camaraderie that sparks the day when bikers relax a bit. I like seeing the other bikers compliment Noraly, and I know she responds in kind. They've been good to her. I'm sure they've gained a lot of respect for what she's done, and what she's doing in the rally, and for her personally, and good friends like Philip and others help that respect to be passed among all the bikers, not just for Noraly, but the guys as well. I'm going to have to watch some of the others online.

Kindness and respect were the things that brought you to a stop and move that fox of the road. Many times during this rally you pulled back out of race mode to stop out of kindness and respect with out a second thought. All the other guys in the rally see it and give it right back to you. You are the kind of person that makes every one around you become more and its all just so worth it. Love it. It's how we make a better world. It's a joyful way of building. So cool.

If you give Noraly a "Thumb Down" then either you got confused as to what the "Thumbs" mean or you are going to suffer the loss of an extremity to rot in the near future!!! Seriously, she is tasting the adventure/sport, she never told us this was a timed section race but that she was riding in the Adventure Class and what would you call giving an impossible dune climb for a CRF250 three shots in a row ? If she is lead to try an actual rally she will need to spend some serious dollars on a new bike and a support team. What she has accomplished basically unsupported on accessible to all of us motorcycles is ample testimony of her determination and grit. I am looking at a very low mileage 250L for a fraction of what a fully tricked out KTM 450 costs. Plus many of us have to be realistic, we cannot manage a bike that big, that tall and that heavy, especially in the rough going. Go Noraly, your "Team" may not be with you in the flesh but we are with you on the ride!!! Bob in Nevada

She is in extremely good shape. I can tell you, as an off-road motorcyclist, this sport gets you in shape and keeps you in shape. There really is no cumulative fatigue. Once you're fit, you can do this every day no problem. It is tiring while you're doing it, but you recover quickly and by the next day you're ready to do it again! Well, maybe not so much the guys in the video with those fat beer bellies, but most riders who do it all the time are in great shape.

I love the habit of that action instead of giving lectures and all that...I used to think of Savannah being only 250 in the Kalahari desert but still it can carry you through thick and deep dunes...What an adventure! Keep on going through thick and thin, rough and tough roads, bushy and short grass but remember that the world is watching you Noraly. Dear Noraly. Those Bat-eared foxes have the tendency to run towards a vehicle's lights at night, that is how the tragically get run over. Happened to me once - they appear from nowhere very suddenly. Nothing you can do to avoid them without potentially turning over your vehicle...especially when you are towing something, like I was. Very bad experience! Bakoor-jakkals in Afrikaans. Would be great for a manufacturer or even a dealer to step up with a "serious" bike for Noraly in future events. Her adventures on the 2nd Royal Enfield (with some help from the Dutch importers) really put RE on the map. Rather than providing a bike for celebrities to pose on down the coffee shop.

Hooray! Made it back in nearly one piece after another day of salt pans and dunes! WONDERFUL that other riders are helping along the way and mechanics pitched in to fix the throttle. They wouldn't be doing all that if they didn't have a HUGE amount of respect for you as a rider toughing your way through all the miles and obstacles. Congratulations! and BRAPPP ratings for bikes will now become a new 'thing'. Some bikes get a 1 BRAPPP, others get a 5 BRAPPPP! rating. Excellent.

Such a variety of terrain in this rally. I really enjoyed the flatlands leading up to the pan--a bit austere, but a "wide, open" feeling. Very interesting stage today. Glad the mechanics were able to fix the throttle cable.

It has been amazing and thrilling to see you develop from an avid adventure rider to more or less a full blown rally rider, very very well done. It has also been good to see how well you are received among the other riders. From entering as the lady with the smallest bike (Oh dear what have we here) to be regarded as just another rider in the group. You have definately shown that size is less important compared to the skill to use what you have. You are now just another skilled rally rider in the group. We know that the rally is long since over and it will be interesting to see how it turned out in the end. My thinking is that there will be some surprises coming. If looking for a new bike I hope you go for a 450. The Honda CRF450 Rally is actually lighter than the 250 with way more power and it was the winner of Dakar 2021 with the works Honda team. Keep up your awesome work! Can't wait for the next episode!

Hello Itchy, your videos have to be the best on the interweb. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them over the past few years. You have inspired to me to get a helmet camera to do something similar for my rides here in Australia. I ride a Honda Goldwing cruiser and I am on it whenever I can be. Naturally, I do not do dirt anymore as a cruiser is not meant for that terrain plus, as a seventy year old man now, who started riding dirt bikes in the early 196o's, I would spend too much time picking it up these days. I have one question for you....where do you get your background music from? Anyway, Good Luck for the rest of the Kalahari Rally. Regards, Barrie Burr
