Dr. Jay, I am from Pakistan and got interested in Islam initially to counter Muslim criticism of my Christian faith while knowing well that critical questioning is punishable by death. I also found many Muslims reject the Hadith today when certain critical texts are used as reference. Furthermore, I was nvited to convert to Islam with lure of material bliss on many, many occasions as is common in the Muslim world. There is another, indirect effect of evil that the Bible talks about, though. This effect is one of a ruined relationship with God, destruction of trust, and emotional damage. This effect of evil must be corrected in another way. Many people feel as if it is God's responsibility to correct this effect and rid the world of evil. However, the same evil that is corrupting relationships and causing damage out in the world is the evil that exists in all of us. To rid the world of evil, God would have to destroy all of mankind. Thankfully, God has a plan to rid the world of evil without destroying humanity. In the early story of the Bible, animal sacrifice atoned for man's sins. Though it was the sinner who deserved to be removed from the world, an animal would take their place. The animal's blood would then be sprinkled by priest in a symbolic cleansing of evil's indirect consequences throughout the community. This process was called purification, and it was able to make things right between the Israelites and God. These Old Testament sacrifices fell short of atoning for man's sins. Speaking on this problem, Isaiah talked of a king who would come as a servant and die on behalf of the Israelites, giving his life to atone for their sins. The king that Isaiah prophesied about was Jesus. All over the New Testament, we hear how the death of Jesus was an atonement for our sins, covering the debt that humans owe God for contributing to all the evil and death in the world. The New Testament also talks about the atonement of Jesus Christ as a purification. Like the blood of the animal sacrifices, it is now Christ's blood that washes away all of the damage and side-effects of sin, purifying and sanctifying the world. The story doesn't end there, though. Because Jesus was able to conquer death and rise from the dead, Christ made Himself the perfect sacrifice who now continually offers Himself to anyone who needs Him. Because Christ became the perfect sacrifice, the ritual of animal sacrifice was no longer required. Like Jesus, who was lowered down into the grave and rose again anew, Christians are lowered down into the water and rise up out of it a new person. In this way, baptism connects us with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The second ritual that Christ instituted is the Lord's supper, a reenactment of Jesus's last supper, which allows Christians to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made on their behalf. Thanks to atonement in Christianity and the rituals that connect us to it, we are able to have our debts forgiven and walk in newness with God.

I have a Malayalam Bible(Malayalam is my native language; it's the language of Kerala, India), and in the Old Testament, the "LORD" is always translated "Yehovah". In the New Testament, the Divine Name is rendered "Lord".

Close but not quite. YHWH literally means "he who causes to be". I AM THAT I AM is rendered differently in the Hebrew, but the name YHWH is to be remembered throughout all generations so we should refer to God in the form it appears in the Bible which is YHWH.​@@vaska1999

I remember when the Most High came to me in the form of a light when i was by myself and contemplated death and He appeared, i felt like His sheer presence was going to kill me. He is too powerful to comprehend and His presence is powerful. I remember it was so powerful i fell down and couldn't move and I struggled to breathe. I wanted to die and to be away from this presence. The other thing that happened was i realized this Being waa perfect and Holy. I dont know how to explain it and i don't know if people will know how that feels until they experience it and this is what i believe will happen after death and we meet God. I also immediately felt like all the selfish evil and terrible things i did in life became amplified in this presence, in God's presence. This is what i think Yeshua meant when He said the Holy Spirit comes to commit the world of sin that verse stuck out to me and jumped off the page. We literally can not exist in Gods presence on our own He is too holy or powerful. I began to cry and i dont know why but I asked for God to forgive me and i accept Yeshua. Immediately that heavy weight i felt was on me passed through me and i was filled with love and i felt rejuvenated and power and it kept me from killing myself and got me through a really tough time. Yeshua came in our form so He could offer Himself to bring us back to communion with God hence why he is called Mediator. We can not in our nonpowerful or unholy form enter into Gods presence unless He has offered himself to. In Genesis and even cultures around the world it seems common to know that to enter into presence of a holy figure you must sacrifice, usually its goats, lambs maybe fruits or foods etc. That is why we need Yeshua si God can accept us back into this presence

Was Isaac or Ishmael to be sacrificed ? As you know, Kedar is a descendent of Ishmael {Genesis 25:13}, and Ishmael is the the base for the Family Tree of Prophet Muhammad through Kedar. But through Jesus, when we give our lives to Him we recieve a brand new nature to overcome our sin by walking after the Holy Spirit amd denying our flesh. So we are no longer bound by satan if we have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus and have the Holy Spirit in us and we walk after Him. 3. God made us a promise that if we ate the fruit we will surely die. That is a curse. We brought this curse on us. But as God spoke this curse that would result, God provided The WAY, the Life, to go above this curse. Without Jesus, the way, truth, Life, we are under this curse of Death, Spiritual death. Through Jesus, we have Life, we are above the curse beca use He is Life, He was perfectly sinless ans He rose Himself from death.

We gotta becareful about that term "Elohim". It can denote both plural and singular, depending on the syntax. It also doesn't always mean a (G)od or (g)ods. As far as the Christian Trinity is concerned, there was no official Church position on the Trinity until the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. Right, but I think he’s referring to how Christ said that to love your neighbor and love god is the essence of the Law. There’s a lot in Leviticus and the rest of the OT that doesn’t fit with Christ’s teaching.
