I put a locking nut on mine instead of the OEM one. I'd rather not have that problem again after taking 2 hours to get the bolt on and tightened.

Great video, Do you have one already talking about the brake/parking brake? I'm dealing with one that's got 200 hours and told the brakes are smoked because someone drove 5 minutes with the parking break on.

Mine has only 83hrs and reverse started getting slow will try that thanks a bunch for doing what you do for us hate to take it in for a little problem like that. Already pissed at the dealership for the 2.5 qts missing from front diff didn't pdi all of it no coolant in recovery bottle hope front end isn't gonna go on me only had 2.5hrs on it when I bought it did the 50hr service myself worked for Chevrolet for 25yrs as a tech. Now the dam fuel gauge is screwed up but its easy to take the fuel cap off and look in tank lol take it to them when I'm not using it.

No problem Stephen I'm glad I could help. How many hours were on it when you realized your front dif fluid was low? I can promise you aren't the only one, low fluids on a brand new tractor specially the BX is very common because as a new tractor is run for awhile the fluid levels will drop down as all the air gets worked out.. the front axle especially as it doesn't have a vent so it takes quite a lot of drive cycles to get all the air worked out of it and for the fluid level to drop and this is prolly why your dealer didn't catch it. I can almost guarantee you that you didn't do any harm to your from axle, they are built very strong and as long as it had SOME fluid on the gears and wasn't totally dry then you'll be just fine. When I changed my diff fluid for the first time I made the same mistake.. I checked it a week later and it was good and then 3 months later I checked it again after MANY hours were put on it and the dipstick was bone dry.. I was a bit nervous myself but I topped it off and my axle has been perfectly fine since. I hope that helps your nerves a bit cuz it can be a scary thing. As for the HST pedal slowing down, you can adjust it like I showed here, just be sure its topped off with hydro fluid before you do this just to make sure it wasn't just low on fluid first.. either way.. adjusting the HST pedal wont hurt it any. As for your coolant res being empty, they often look empty as the fluid level is only suppose to be on the very bottom of the bottle, its really hard to see down in there and at first glance can look empty.. Lastly when you did your 50 hours service did you make sure to take out the transmission screen and clean it? These often get clogged up with metal shavings after the first 50 hours and if its not cleaned off then it can cause low pressure to your trans causing your trans to be less responsive or speedy.. If you cleaned the screen then you can ignore this but i figured it was worth mentioning as a lot of people forget to clean them when doing the trans oil and filter change.

The fluid run out when I pull the filter out? Probably should just do it and change the fluid at 100hrs forward is fine noticed the hst whines a little louder when she's hot but I work the dog crap out of it not abusive but I figured I have moved about 200 or more bucket loads with it just a guess average distance to dumping it is about 200 yards. The guy that used to own the property undermined all around the place to build a shooting range 16ft high in the back by 10ft w by 100 and the sides were 12ft high by 6ft thick by 100ft long times 2 just trying to keep my house from being undermined it sits on a hill higher dumbass. You could fire a abrahams tank in that range took me 3yrs just to get all the 5ft high dropoffs in the yard so I could mow it lmao.

@@bonnememoires I would say you should def clean the screen if you wanna be safe, you don’t have a ton of hours on it yet but def enough to have that screen start getting gunked up. I see these screens at 50 hours loaded with rtv from assembly and break in metal/material so it’s always good to do it at or around 50 hours to get rid of all that debris cuz once it starts to get clogged you may see a drop in hydraulic performance or your trans starting to slow down some. Let me know how you make out if you do it 👍🏻

Just kidding, my feebleness has put me into the slow lane for this year, but, getting better and I’m getting around, will be in shop soon! Yahoo! Biff looking forward to more of your vlogs. I will be adding a gas line to the shop before winter and will prolly make a video on it, I don't want to heat with propane again this winter so ill be doing gas this year. Thanks for watching!!

@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment Ай бұрын
My shop is a 24x32.. always go bigger than you think you’re gonna need. I wish my shop was a 32x32.. that would have been PERFECT.. but for now it’s plenty big and has been a god send! Best of luck buddy! Btw if you plan on working on equipment or putting in an automotive lift then you’ll want to go with 14’ high ceilings! Always go higher on the ceiling than you think you’re gonna need.. it’s more important than width and length of the garage since you can’t change the height later on.. you can always expand and make the garage longer or wider but you can’t increase the roof height so if recommend 14’ no less than 12’ ceilings! Best of luck!

What happens if you just remove the travel stop bolts?
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 жыл бұрын
flintlock42003 you can do this.. you will be making out the linkage tho.. long term I’m not sure if it would harm anything but you would be at maximum speed or Above max speed for both forward and reverse speeds. I actually did this on a Commerical zero turn mower I owned.. I removed the stops completely for max speed and never had an issue. I thought about doing it on my Kubota but it’s plenty quick for me now after making those adjustments

better then having your loader frame turn ugly black from the diesel exaust, kubota should have thought about the exaust making the frame ugly before they designed it that way.

Any ideas on how to increase power without breaking the bank?
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 жыл бұрын
Well on Diesel engines to increase power you need more fuel.. to increase the fuel 1 of 2 things needs to happen, either you need larger injectors .. which trust me I have been looking lol.. or you need to adjust your injection pumps fuel rate.. by turning the fuel screw you can increase the rate and timing in which the fuel is delivered to the engine .. increasing power by a lot but the issue with this is if you fail to adjust it properly and get it out of time then you could very well screw up your motor or make it have less power.. so the safest and easiest bet I would say would be injectors from a larger series D902 which is the engine Kubota uses in these Kubota bx’s.. Kubota just recently came out with a D902-T which the T stands for turbo.. if you were able to get injectors out of a D902T and install them on a D902 you would more than likely well see a significant gain.. but if it over fuels you can wash out the rings on the Cylinders and have compression loss lol.. so some tuning would be required.. so can it be done? Yes.. will he be easy? Maybe, maybe not lol.

Biff, great video. Will adjusting the rear pedal stop make it less stiff to use as well? I ask because the rear pedal on my new B2601 feels VERY stiff. Partly that may be because you can push forward with your foot to go forward but if feels like you need to stomp straight down for reverse. At least with my treadle pedal that's how it feels. So I wonder if I did the "increase speed" adjustment you show here would give the rear pedal easier play?
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Richard that's a great question. This shouldn't have any effect on the firmness of your pedal.. The firmness could be coming from your linkages.. It may just been not very broken in yet so it may feel stiff cuz of that or maybe it just needs a good greasing.. I would make sure you are greasing it every 10 or so hours and if that doesn't help try spraying some lubricant on the pivot points on the linkages underneath.., If it still feels very sill I would ask your dealer to take a look as it may be something inside the transmission because you shouldn't feel like you have to stomp on the pedal to make it go in reverse.. I would start there.. Those stoppers are only for adjusting the travel/speed of the pedal nothing else. Hope this helps!

I like that you take your Kubota to the next level of performance. Now that you're opening up the exhaust you're going to have to do something with a diesel tuner. I noticed one on the dash of your pickup truck. Hmmm ... now I got you thinking
