I have a service due in 18 hours. It's the 1200 hour service and it's a doozy. You got that one squared away now. Have a great Christmas.

That sounds like a video worthy project. I have 3036 hours on mine. Not all done by me, I bought it very used. I want to say it had 2000 or so when I purchased it. I let things go to long this time, but all good now. You Have a nice Christmas too!

Thanks! I had the foundation and slab done by someone else and then built the rest myself. It's nice to be able to be in the middle of a project and when you need to leave to do something else you don't have to clean up and put everything away until you get back to it. Just shut the door and turn off the lights and come back later. Merry Christmas to you and your family too.

@Mike, maybe I missed it but did you drain the hydraulic fluid? It looked kinda milky when you removed the filter. When I did mine the HST filter was blue. I've never seen one like it before I thought it may have been the original. I kept it to cut it open and inspect, it's been sitting in a garage cabinet for 2 years now. Maybe ill finally get bored enough this winter to slice it open.

I didn't clean the suction strainers in the transmission or change the hydraulic fluid this time. The fluid still appeared to be pretty free of water. I think it looked worse than it actually was in the video. I will be changing it out next time I service it. I normally will change it every year along with the filter and cleaning the strainers. One reason was the price of the fluid (Kubota UTD) was about 60 dollars for 2.5 gallons and since it still looked pretty good, I decided not to change it out this time. I probably should do the fuel filter now that I think of it. Engine still runs well but that might be my next project before spring. That's interesting about the filter, the one's I bought were from our local Kubota dealer. Nice to hear from you and have a great new year.

Do you run anything off the PTO? Mine runs hot... some guys swear up and down that they'll run until the tank is empty at WOT without any issues. Mine doesn't get hot with light work (loader work, etc) but if I run my bush hog it gets hot pretty quick. What temps do you see on yours?
@mikesworld60
@mikesworld60 2 жыл бұрын
I don't have a temp gauge on mine. I have not run a brush hog on it. I have run a rototiller and post hole digger. Mine has never gotten hot enough to overheat and I run it in hot weather. Sounds like you may need to clean the radiator really good. There may also be an oil cooler in front of the radiator if it is like mine. They don't have water pumps on them so if the radiator is not cooling good it can get hot. good luck.

Hi bro, nice work, i have a B5001 manual, do you think hydrostatic transmission is better on slopes? i'm just curious, thanks
@mikesworld60
@mikesworld60 2 жыл бұрын
I think so, hydrostatic holds better on the hills too. Easier for forward and reverse doing loader work because you don't have to come too a complete stop like with a manual
