Kudu Hunting - Expect the Unexpected in Africa | John X Safaris

When McKenzie Crow and her Dad, Bobby, joined John X Safaris on their first hunt to Africa little did they know what they would be in for? McKenzie is an avid houndsman who had expressed her desire to chase Bushpig's in Africa very similar to hogs in Texas. What none of us realized at the time is where the Bushpig hunt would take us and where we'd end up. Talk about some exciting Kudu hunting and a Cape Bushbuck of dreams to go along with the many adventures along the way...

The poor kudu was between a rock and a hard place. The bush-pig looked like he would make a lot of great paint brushes. It's fascinating to see a young lady having a hunting time-of-her-life.

Kudu by dogs …..any hunt with dogs is awesome! That would have made the trip for me certainly. That’s the proper way to hunt game in my opinion.

Looks like you went to Addo. I always book several nights in the park and have been charged by rhino in past. Elephants are always everywhere. Brings back so many memories.

Really glad I'm not the American, coming to SA for my first hunt in Africa, and having to shoot a kudu-bull of that size, in such a manner! Definitely not given the respect it deserves, would have like to see this bull hunted the way it should be done!

That is a beautiful Eastern Cape kudu. They aren't as big as the lowveld kudus
