The Kugoo S1 is what I believe, a white label product but does a very decent job. Aside the fact that looks a subjective, I think it looks more like a toy than an adult looking scooter 365 Electric Scooter from Xiaomi. Bottomline, it is a really inexpensive Electric scooter that offers quite a but. I really miss the mechanical breaking and the looks of the M365 Electric scooter from Xiaomi, because the S1 looks more like a toy in my opinion. It’s therefore not really an upgrade, but rather a good decision if you don’t want to spend too much money on your first cheap electric scooter.

I bought two scooters from them, s1 and s1pro. When I took the s1 out of the box, I didn't notice any problems. But when my son started riding it, I heard a loud thud and noticed a vibration. I found that the rear wheel has a defect. I wrote about this to the support company, and they replied that this is possible if you often use the rear brake. Then I showed that the scooter had traveled only 10 km (6 miles) and during this time a good quality wheel would not be able to wear off so much. I have written to them many times that I want to return or replace this scooter. But the company did not satisfy my request. They asked to record and send them a video where the problem of the scooter is visible. After they watched it, they began to ignore me. I strongly do not recommend buying scooters of this company, you can get a lot of problems that you will fix at your own expense

Mine was fully charged. The unlock mechanism works fine, you need to do 3 things at once. Break (or place the e scooter in front of a wall), press the fold mechanism and tilt the handle forward. That should do it

Hi Martijn, nice review. What's you opinion on the throttle and ebrake twist levers sensitivity? I find kugoo S1 controls are difficult to make fine adjustment. The s1 mostly on or off! Its amazing value though. M365 is so much more relaxing to ride because if this. Folding is straight forward once you get the knack. I place my right knee and the footboard, push the handlebar forward with left hand and press the release lever with my right hand. Cheers

I had a problem. Very bright sunlight here in UK, did a quick shop for cans Coke. Didn't see battery dying. Got to steep hill. Brakes failed. Interesting fee seconds, do I bail out or keep cool? Starting overtaking cyclists at 35mph. Got slightly anxious at 40 mph, when I remembered the back brake, too late. Contemplated the best possible approach to the imminent T junction, including skin loss bailout.. Road works sign. Do I go left or right?. In all the excitement, I still realised I was in trouble. Chose Right, made it by the skin of my teeth, grounding the fairing as I did so at 50 degrees lean. Bailed out into grassy bank soon after. All 3 cans of diet Coke ruptured on impact. I rode these scooters to work back in the '90s, long before retiring. Thank heavens for muscle memory. Might buy a helmet. Always recharge. Read the manual. Awaiting speeding ticket. This is a well made nice bit of kit, needs legislation changes, buy one 2nd hand - not mine, tho I was tempted back there :)

They got the perfect balance of what to include and what to leave off. I believe this is the best escooter available. You should look at this kugoo s1 or a m365 depending on what you prefer. Both are great. We have choices like never before.

....haha.....Great Video.....and the funniest bit is the Hammer Method . Just got mine and I had to do the same....saw it in another video and that was the trick. It needs a lot of lubrication and unstucking....haha

@@jmew79 I use mine for going back and forwards to town and believe it or not I haven't actually ran it to empty yet. Wow. I have been down to 1 bar remaining but must have covered around 15 miles approx so anywhere around this range should be expected. Don't forget it varies on rider weight roads amd weather conditions but overall it's a fab scooter. You won't be disappointed.

STOP POUNDING WITH A HAMMER! Roll the FRONT TIRE up against any surface or wall, put your HEAL of one foot on the bed of the scooter so that your TOE is right above the purple release but DON'T PUSH ON THE PURPLE RELEASE! While holding down gently with JUST your HEAL, push the HANDLEBARS FORWARD towards the WALL, and rotate your foot, and toe down on the release mechanism to let the scooter fold!

Keep the throttle at a certain speed for 2-3 seconds and it enables it automatically :)

Replace the the rear with air, and you will have a much smoother ride. :)
