Here's a Message to All My KZbin "HATERS" Out There Who Like To Spam My KZbin Videos with Negative Hateful Comments: "We're uploading great, fun, traditional, effective content that's purpose is to keep Traditional Chinese Martial Arts alive since Traditional Chinese Martial are currently dying! I have NEVER once advertised any of my videos! We have NEVER sponsored or put money toward any of our KZbin videos. All our views, subscribers, and followers have found us organically on their own and our analytics say we have a 20 "Like" to 1 "Dislike" ratio! That's pretty good in my opinion! That means for every 2,000 people who watch our videos and hit "LIKE" only about 100 hit "DISLIKE". :) We get over 50,000 video views a Day and add 300 New Subscribers everyday! We get TENS OF THOUSANDS of comments everyday on our videos and lessons here on KZbin! There is NO WAY I can read or respond to them all. I reserve about 1 hour each day to answer KZbin comments and I try to get to as many as I can! My wife Pam answers a couple hundred emails everyday from people who email us at www.JakeMace.com. If you want to post your own videos about me on your channel then DO IT! I LOVE IT! If they're positive then that's great! If they're negative then that's great too! Live your life! My best!" -Jake Mace :) KZbin.com/ShaolinCenter My Online School - www.JakeMace.com Gardening at KZbin.com/VeganAthlete

Kung Fu & Tai Chi Center w/ Jake Mace It just feels wrong when I'm doing years of basic training to have proper stances and a good understanding of my own body and movements while you just learned all these "katas" of kung fu and then claimed to be a master. But people believe what people want to believe. That's why you're going to continue thinking that real kung fu is wrong and yours is right. From your view i might seem as stupid as you seem to me. All these people who like your videos are learning kung fu on their own from the internet while most of the haters are true practitioners (i dont have the right to say someone is doing good or bad, no matter which side they're from). So yeah, you're right. Real kung fu is dying.
@alxdnld
@alxdnld 9 жыл бұрын
MillionairePhil Not sure why anyone has to appear 'stupid' to anyone else. The advent of cage fighting and mixed martial arts has shown us that no-one had all the answers in training, technique, or knowledge base. Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Verdum couldn't be from more different backgrounds, with completely different training methods and philosophies, and yet they both reach the pinnacle. Such is the nature of all things. Because someone else's way is different to yours, makes neither wrong or right. Phil, kung fu is not dying, it is evolving. It was given the wrong status by those who mis-understood it from watching Bruce Lee. Along with many pure forms, it's weaknesses were exposed with MMA, now it must find where it fits in with the world of combat. Pragmatists will retain what is valuable, and lose the rest. Jake, thanks for the videos, I have just picked up JO & BO staffs as cross training for MMA and am totally fixated. Thanks for everything. X

I liked this, you looked pretty cool. I was really curious though about how, when you start, you kick the staff into your right hand. Did that stem from some sort of practical use? I'm self taught with various staff lengths, weights, and "grips", and that specific move to start with is most common when I'm using hollow metal pipe. It's so heavy that I could "tweak" my wrist if I jerked it up quickly, so I use my foot to scoot it into my hand quickly. I was just curious if it was the same concept for your style, or if it was just a way to start off.

Shaolin Kung Fu cudgel is not made of rattan or covered with anything. Shaolin Kung Fu cudgel is made of a wax wood sapling and is flexible and heavy. Shaolin monks use the cudgel for self defense it is not a tool to go to the octagon with. LOL This is just practice. I guess? and looks nothing like a traditional form.

The first form of "bo" , as you called it, that i have ever see, in which you spin the staff in one hand and stare blankly at it. God man, you should be ashamed. You got the body, the condition and the discipline to be great, but instead of silently learn real kung fu, you decide to teach this made up things, and call them "traditional". Look at your comments, the ppl that admire you, that think that they are getting better at kung fu by watching your videos. You should really feal ashamed
