Let’s all just pretend like Kung Fu Panda and Pirates of the Caribbean were very well executed trilogies where the studios didn’t get greedy and let them end with dignity 😅

I didn't like the movie much. 42:18 but this right here I like, and you are spot on. I felt they could have went a different direction with Po's ascension to being a spiritual leader, by having Po face trial of confronting his past enemies and Po figuring out a solution to helping them atone and finding inner peace which would educate Po on incorporating other philosophies of dealing with future villains instead of just vanquishing them to a spirit realm. We've seen the series give us a story about the main protagonist finding inner peace, and I was hoping for their to be a story about the protagonist helping his enemies find inner peace by helping them to atone through spiritual guidance. Could have set the stage for Po to properly ascend to being a spiritual leader instead of the title just being given to him. Also, it would have been a unique film, to teach people that not all people who do wicked deeds are irredeemable. A great example of this message is the anime story "Shaman King".

I agree it wasnt that great i didnt hate it but it could have been way better. Apparently the co director Stephanie Ma Stine wanted this movie to be more emotional and deep which is exactly what it needed to be, whereas Mike Mitchell the director wanted it to be more comedy and thats what ruined the movie also the plotholes aswell he shouldn't have been the director, if she was the director this movie would have been way better, she even wanted tai lungs redemption to be done right and even wanted him reuniting with Shifu. The Chameleon is kinda badly written as a character. I mean as a VILLAIN, ok cuz she is supposed to be hated and stuff. But every other villain was in a way connected to Po and his journey and the themes of the respective film.

Chameleon makes no sense, it wasn’t ok at all. She was rejected cuz of her size? Mantis says hi! 😂 She thinks taking all the moves from the other villains will help her defeat Po even though non of those worked on Po, so that’s dumb 😂 She is able to defeat all these masters to steal their moves yet she can’t on her own defeat Po, so that’s really stupid 😂 She was’t kinda badly written, she is a very poorly written character. Kung Fu Panda 1, 2 , 3 were great. And they should have stopped after 3.

@@AffanReacts Exactly. Also what they were going for was poorly executed. She was made to be a mirror of Po in that they were both rejected. Every other villain served as a perfect parallel to Po, without this whole shtick. Tai Lung and Po were both orphans wanting to make parents proud and fulfill a present, but Tai Lung's ideals and goals were forced, Po was determined to actually do kung fu, that is why he was the Dragon Warrior, it was his own goal and his own passion. Shen and Po both had parental abandonment issues and both of them suffered from the past, but Shen wants to stick on it rather than move on like Po did. Kai is the best parallel to Po. Kai is not just a foil for this film but the previous two as well. Success is something both Kai and Po want with respective goals to please their own desires but with Kai, well a darker desire that was rejected by Oogway, just like Ping rejected Po’s kung fu fanaticism. Both also share past tragedies. Kai’s relationship with Oogway in the past is something that still haunts him as just like Shen, he continued using chi to take, he didn’t follow a present to fully move on and understand himself. In the third film, legacy is a big part of life here, but Kai wants to take legacy by force, he was so blinded by his own ideal of success that was proven “wrong” by Oogway and was filled with that emotional turmoil. He wants to prove that his way is the ONLY WAY OF LIFE by taking over a new legacy for himself and achieving recognition for his ideals. Po on the other hand, LEARNS NEW THINGS AND IS EXCITED FOR A NEW WAY OF LIFE so he could learn more and SHARE THAT WITH THE WORLD RATHER THAN JUST PROVE HE’S TRULY BODACIOUS AND AWESOME. They could have made the chameleon a foil for Po in that she didn't want to give up her role as a ruler in the city and stayed on to the power until it turned her mad with all the building pressure.
