For those unaware, the Australian and Canadian national broadcasters had a licensing agreement to air each other's programs on their youth channels. This was supposed to try to stem the flow of British and American television. Anyway, this means that ABC3 (the Australian kids channel) had a stack of weird Canadian TV on it, and there were often Canadian and Australian editions of the same show. The Australian Prank Patrol was hosted by a guy called Scott Tweedie who also hosted the main ABC3 channel and they were filming the series whilst I was in primary school. Prank Patrol was such a phenomenon in Australia that if you appeared on it you were instantly elevated to God status around the country. I went to school with a girl who'd appeared on it and she was stopped in the street and treated like a real celebrity. From these clips, it appears the Australian version was a little higher-budget (read: better).
