Make sure to come off the brakes before you turn in kurt. The front wheels only have so much grip, this grip can be divided into linear grip (accelerating and braking) and lateral grip (turning). If you are braking when turning then you are increasing the linear grip needs and reducing the lateral grip limits. Try to get everything done in terms of braking and downshifting before you reach the turn in point and you will find the car far more responsive and much quicker

I’m struggling coming from forza all my life.. car doesn’t respond as I would like so I tried turning off all the driving aids for the fiat as I do in forza and without traction control it handled a bit better but I realized this car is stock standard right ? So makes sense it’s trash lol

@@bigguwapbrixks187 The 500 certainly isn't a race car so you do have to temper your expectations a bit but it is also important to remember that Forza is on the more forgiving side when it comes to physics. Back off the aggression a touch, ask less of the car and try to build up to the limits gradually (also remember that your tyres/brakes need to get up to temp before they'll work properly)

When you were talking about the centering spring, and going from 2nd to 5th, it reminded me of when I first started driving stick-shift. My problem was that I would go from 2nd to neutral and let go if I was stopping for a bit. Then, I'd push forward into "1st", not realizing it had centered and I was really in 3rd. I don't want to admit how long that took me to figure out...

Good effort Kurt! If you aren't used to driving manual, the only real answer is to drive in practice mode non stop for like, an hour, until shifting becomes muscle memory, then attempt a race.

Good driving there. The stick shift begins to stick. When I drove in the game, I reduced fuel to 5liters to save some kilos. ^^

Will it let you take screenshots of the menus? If you can and inset or insert it into the video, at least then you'd be able to point to the things you're talking about... but no worries if that's too much messing around for not enough gain.

ninjaghost1998 not really. most editing softwares today have drag and drop so you can add an image into the timeline very easily... and no need to find it from the depths of your computers.

Otakahunt Except that Kurt uses Sony Vegas, which is reasonably outdated, and is actually the reason he isn't using his shiny new graphics card, because it's not supported. I haven't used it so I'm not sure, but it's old enough that it might not be terribly easy to do something like that.

Though you made the joke reference about gran turismo, the way the medals and tiers work here seems to be very similar to gran turismo 6's career mode. In gt6 it used stars to indicate progress with bronze awarding 1, silver 2, and gold 3 and you needed to collect a certain amount to move up to the next tier.

Remember to blip the gas, when you gear down. Tap down gear, and accelerate at the same time. You slow down much smoother, and can handle corners much easier.

Oh god, RIP Kurt. Career in Assetto is just godawful. It's terribly balanced, some challenges are way too easy and some are pretty much impossible. Especially the one with McLaren MP4-12c, where you have to cut a corner to pass the faster cars.

You had foot off the brake cos you were shifting ??? *Gas & Brake = Right foot!* *Clutch = Left foot!* Also never shift in the middle of turn unless it is something like 270° And never jump gears - especially not when downshifting (unless on brake failure)! _edit:_ Much better driving in the second half of the video ;)

ninjaghost1998 what? no they dont... left foot should never be used to brake. Even in automatics you only use right foot or risk damaging the car when you accidentally press both at the sametime. If you use clutch, theres no such thing as using clutch and brake with left foot... its impossible and nobody does it!
