@@persona7-7-7 well..lets remember Tupac passed on at age 25, which is very young. Im sure in his 25 years on earth he had accomplished way more than you will ever accomplish in your lifetime. And yes, he was a great actor; he starred and co-starred in some great movies alongside other great actors. He was an intelligent young man who won the hearts and attention of every and anyone he came in contact with. And yes he was a revolutionary: his mother Afeni Shakur, step father matulu shakur and aunt assata shakur were all black panthers and he shared the same passion for justice for his ppl. If you really listen to his lyrics, especially before his deathrow days, you can hear his revolutionary overtones. Not only on the mic but pac gave speeches in front of grassroots organizations speaking on revolutionary ideas. Its all on youtube. Its not a mistake that Tupac is considered great, even beyond the grave..its just the truth. And lastly, lets not forget that 25 is a fragile age of finding ourselves. We mix with bad company and we make mistakes. Unfortunately his costed him his life. But the time he spent here and the mark he made is legendary.

The fact that XXX said "Don't compare me to Tupac, i'm way better than him" goes to show how ignorant and disrespectful that kid was. It shows he can't show any respect to someone who literally influenced hip hop forever. You can tell he didn't even bother listening to a full record of Pac, he probably just heard "Hit 'Em Up" and a few hits and thought that was Pac lmfao. Pac has hundreds upon hundred of incredible songs. Even if he didn't like his music he could at least give Pac props for paving the way for the young black man and all people. Adam only compared X to Pac cause he was close buddy/buddy with X that's why. You can tell by his "mmm's" he wanted to disagree with Kupurt but Kupurt was just saying it how it is and keeping it real. Tupac influenced hip hop forever, he spoke to a whole entire generation, to mothers, young black males, young mistreated and abused women, the average joe, the rebels, all the masses, he dropped knowledge on society and everyday struggles about life with incredible lyrics and flows with pain and passion. Showed us all how to keep our heads up and ride the wave of life in a way that made you want to be a better version of yourself. Even in the next century/centuries people will still talk about Tupac Shakur. He'll literally be a part of Hip Hop for all of eternity of music forever. X will only be remembered by some in Gen Z who were a little depressed and popped xannies, that's all. So you LITERALLY cannot compare just like Kurpurt said. 2Pac is a once in a lifetime breed, X is a dime a dozen.

Anyone with significant knowledge of hip hop would never even try to make that comparison. For one. X died way too early in his career for two. pacs music impacted the world 10x more than x's even had a chance to for three. pac was involved in film and community activism for four. pac shot an undercover cop and survived shootings before his death for five. Pac had already been in a group, released several solo albums and had way more recorded music pre death for six. It's actually disrespectful to them both to even try to make that comparison. When Adam made his statement he wasn’t too far off though. X had a profound impact on every youth who had his ear tapped into the hip hop culture & underground culture. You’re right he was taken too soon to make a fair comparison. But you gotta remember we’re not saying that he IS pac. We saying he’s close to OUR pac. A young pac. Not based off of sound(obviously) or style but because of emotional attraction and other intangible attributes that X had. Pac stood for things and stood for them strongly. And so did X and the world recognized that. That’s why the comparison is brought up. Because he was (key words) ON HIS WAY to being this generations great influence the way pac was to the last generation. And i don’t find it disrespectful at all to acknowledge someone’s influence . Pac is a legend , he was a rapper , actor , activist and a real thug that made it through the struggle , especially in his era . I didn't even know who xxxtentaction was until he died (I am not a boomer, born in the 90s) . You can ask anyone who pac was and they would know. Pac was an artist who controlled the rap game , to the point he had to be killed to break out other artists. If you guys wanna better yourself , buy AMC stock

@huh8196 3 жыл бұрын
@Kingdom 8 I've watched every single one of his interviews more than a dozen times, all i can say is that in my opinion, u r misguided and miseducated on him as a whole, the truth about his death is that one gang member snatched his friend's chain, Tupac saw the guy at the MGM, and fought him, thats called being loyal, the whole "gangster" persona ur talking about, might be his revolutionary way of talking, moving around and expressing himself. Peep the interview where he's asked if he makes "Gangster music" and if he refers to himself as a gangster and he straight up denies all of that. - "He was planted into the industry in high school." and the next line is " he took drama class AND HAD TALENT " , how does this even make sense? Do u even know what an industry plant is?

The better comparison for X would be someone like Big L in the sense that the primary people impacted by him are those hip hop heads of his age range. The thing about 2Pac is that it wasn’t just kids his age impacted by him. Pac had the kids that were in grade school, the parents of the kids in high school, even the grandparents knew Pac, listened to Pac songs and/or praised/admonished Pac. He was that big, his music was world wide across all ages and that was while he was alive. I’ll never forget being a kid in grade school, riding in the back of my parents convertible with my older sister and “How do you want it” premiered on the radio and my dad turned it to maximum volume. The man’s passion was mesmerizing to all in some way or another

PAC grew up in poverty, he literally rose up from the shit heap he was handed at birth and managed to shape an entire culture of people, he was the face of an entire genre of music, he sparked a movement of people who would begin to express real life issues both in & out of music. He had record breaking albums long after he was gone. His music is timeless! His message was powerful! Are you seriously trying to compare him to anyone in this genre? Let alone this era ?
