Tip: Don't compare your art to other's art. Everyone develops at their own pace and everyone has their own style. I went through a phase where I just compared my art to others and it just made me feel depressed. I ended up drawing less and I wasted time I could have used to develop my skills.

I start a little more practice at drawing at the beginning of September, then when in my country we went back to online teaching at the half of October or sth like that (idr that exactly when because of that all what is happening around) I start practicing drawing for serious, and a few days ago I was capable to draw a nice portrait, that was not perfect, but incredibly better than any others my drawings before that moment. Still I need to practice much, but in two months you can achieve a really big upgrade in your own abilities. You only need a good advices, good guides, and some practice.

Something I do to help with my hand’s cramping/carpal tunnel is I draw with a wrist brace. After drawing for awhile I noticed I’d flare up my nerve pain, but when drawing with the brace, I draw with my shoulder a lot more instead of my wrist. It minimized my pain greatly after long drawing sessions.

I've been really neglecting drawing lately because I've been having a lot of personal troubles. I honestly wished I wasn't so lazy to get out of bed and do basic things everyday, since I honestly see no meaning in my life anymore to the point where I don't see any purpose to getting up and being alive. And then quarantine happened and made it so much worse. My relationship with my family isn't great and I'm not a fan of being around them for a long time, and then there's online school which is so hard for me to deal with as someone who can't even get out of bed on some days. But this has really inspired me, including just seeing your works in general. I want to try practicing more often so I can get better at art. Sorry for rambling here, but I don't really have anybody to talk to, which is kind of sad lol

Can you make a video on how to do study's soon? I have been watching your videos and I was wondering how you find a lot of good images you use for practice. Do you just open up pinterest and draw anime stuff, or do you have a better way to do it?

Just draw lol. Study stuff that you're shitty at. Practice the hell out of your fundamentals and burn through pages trying to understand the concepts until they're second nature. Then apply them to drawings of your own. Pause the video at each page and try to understand what his purpose his on each page.

@MasterStar I didn't know either but now that I think about it I don't think there is a 'how'. It's more like he's breaking down what interests and challenges him. He tries to deconstruct (form, perspective, anatomy, trying different mediums, breaking down his favorite illustrations) until he gets comfortable and applies it to his current work. There is no plan or strategy. All the stuff he works on is always related to what he currently does. E.g. I don't see animals much in his practice. And I don't see much animals in his art. I think he just went with the flow and keeps track of his progress. He just knows what he wanted to accomplish during the practice session and what he wanted to improve on. I doubt he had a plan.

Learn perspective (watch drawing databases videos on it) learn form (he also has videos on this) get an anatomy book or a good online course on it. Those are what id suggest to start studying and then start studying things like value, colour and compostion etc after you've become good at the fundamentals.

LOL you don't need anything to practice, you just do it. I understand if you don't have the time but don't look at the quality of his practice pages but *what* he's practicing.

@@brickautomatic2695 I always found anatomy to be fun though and perspective both hard and boring.
