In my country, we season overnight as well, or for several hours. I never can understand salt and black pepper as seasoning for anything, especially meat. You cook from your spirit and that makes all the difference. No other cooking programme exudes so much love and, your meals are unique and healthy. No junk! Thank you again and again!

Thank you so much for your video. For the sake of my diabetes I switched to green bell peppers and I stopped eating tomatoes too since I found out how it elevates my blood sugar. I also switched rice to cauliflower shredded in food processor to look like rice. Thank you again for your video and please continue with more cooking time

@Mam Jallow Jollof rice is a signature West African dish. A lot of countries in West Africa cook it. Each country puts its own spin on it. It's just a delicious dish.

Thank God for you, You wash your hands and food. There are a lot of people on Social Media, but they don't wash their hands or countertop and sometimes food. I would not eat their food no matter how good it looks. I love you and what you cook. Keep up the good, clean work.

I love the way you cooked this jollof rice, this is the way we cook it in Nigeria too. I love your kitchen and kitchen utensils, very neat! I love kenke and banku soup (though I can't cook any Ghanian food) but I am going to try this kelewele.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comments. Kenkey and Banku are both made with corn. I think the soup you want to say is okro soup, which looks a lot like how Nigerians make it. I hope to hear back about the kelewele❤️❤️

I love this idea of using techniques of the various versions across West Africa. I was confused when I first saw all your bell peppers because that is not as common for Ghanaian Jollof, but you later confirmed you were switching up your recipe and adding the peppers the way Nigerians would which is great. I am Nigerian, but absolutely appreciate the various versions across the West African nations.

Hi, Kwaan. Well I have had fried, ripeplantian green mashed and also green fried plantain, called tostones add little salt it's delicious but never kelewele Kwaan style I surely will try. New subscriber here and I had never had jollof before until my friend, ex-coworker prepared and brought this dish to work for a departmental potluck. I fell in love! I am now retired but, still asking her to teach me how to make this dish. She referred me to your U-TUBE page because she says you are a better teacher 😄! Says, she doesn't have the patience to teach! Really thankful for her recommendation and Glad I found your site on U-Tube. I have used your recipe for jollof and it was delicious!!
