REMIND TAYLOR THAT WE CANT UNDERSTAND ANYBODY THAT HE TALKS OVER (and recommend that Woody turns his volume down). Once again, everybody loves his wit.. nobody as much as him and when he gets excited about a clever line he can not help himself and jumps in so I cannot understand the end of Kyle's thought. He also talks louder and seems to have his volume higher, and Kyle and Woody often talk softly when explaining something.. and Taylor never does. He wants to say something funny so bad that when he thinks of something he wont wait for the opportunity to say it, he will: 1) interrupt you to ask a question. 2) cut you off to answer it himself. 3) laugh at his own cleverness so we cannot even hear the answer he pretended to ask for. 4) then after Kyle waits for him to finish and thinks hes done with his joke/laughing at himself Kyle tries to answer a second time but Murka thinks of another clever joke and makes that paramount and cuts him off a third time.. then 6) after Kyle waits to answer so he doesnt have to talk over someone he gets CUT OFF AGAIN. Think I'm exaggerating..? Go to 8:12, show it to Woody and Taylor, then compare the volumes of both Taylor talking and Kyle yelling at 11:15. Kyle's yelling and Woody is laughing yet all I can hear is Murka. When he does this and cuts ppl off they usually wait for him to finish sp the show doesnt become unwatchable, but it seems like Murka will sacrifice that for a chance at a joke. I understand hes trying to make the show better and often does, but in trying it becomes The Taylor Show and I cant finish it because he wont play by the same rules of respect within the conversation. Yes, I'm being a whiny bitch and ppl will prolly give me shit, but I hope someone addresses it because it's only getting worse.
@kendrickhummer80713 жыл бұрын
At least when he does it to a guest Woody will call him out and say "let them answer" because he recognizes it's a dick move to the guest, but when it's done to anyone else it should be treated the same because it's a dick move to the audience that was listening to Kyle's story. It derails the story in an attempt to steal the attention before the storyteller even has a chance to finish and often never gets back on track. I love you Taylor, but stfu and let the man finish.

Any new rider will crash or lay the bike down. My first real ride i was in the hills coming around a corner going about 50. It was a little fast for the corner but i had driven the road hundreds of times in cars so i felt comfortable. Got too low and touched my knee to the ground, freaked out and over corrected and layed the bike down and slid on my ass down the road. All the friends ive convinced to get a bike have done something similar to me or what kyle did. Also why its extremely important to wear proper attire, had i not been wearing a suit i would have had road rash all over me if not dead, instead i rode home with the only pain being from rolling into a tree at the end.

As someone who has ridden on and off road for 24 years I highly recommend buying a used cheaper bike for your first bike. Don't go buy a new 600cc sport bike for your first bike. It can work for some people but it's generally not a good starter bike. What Kyle experienced is whats referred to as target fixation. If you stare at that curb or road edge your gonna hit it. If your just starting out take the msf course and you'll learn a lot. Even as an experienced rider I still go take the advanced refresher course every couple years.

Slow maneuvering skills is the sign of a true Motorcycling veteran. Lol this reminds me of a funny story. Back when I did the MSF course we had this one student that couldnt do the u-turn and figure 8 portions of the course to save his life and blamed it on the bike. Upon hearing this, our instructor (a 5 foot 55 year old hippy that maybe weighed 100 lbs soaking wet) without saying a word took his honda goldwing and performed all the maneuvers flawlessly and far better than we did on our 250ccs. He then pulled up and said "if I can do that on a Goldwing, you can do that on a 250". One of the most amazing performances ive ever seen, that and him purposefully dropping his goldwing to show us how the technique to lift it back up single-handedly without hurting ourselves.

Kyle experienced something called "target fixation". Also, new motorcycle tires are slick for the first 500 miles. It's counterintuitive, but you want to lean as much of your body off the motorcycle as you can when the tires are new because the more your body leans, the less the motorcycle leans and the more surface area the tires make with the road and the less likely the bike will wash out from under you (in what is known as a "lowside").

You want to pull the right side of the handle bars to go right woody.
@fatalinsomn1a1823 жыл бұрын
You should just ride the bike with the bent bars for a month or so until you get good at slow turns. Also the offness on the front is because the shocks are tweaked a bit. (Not bent, just pushed over a bit,/happens every time you drop them) its not damage, just need to be manually realigned. You can fix it by grabbing the handle bars from the front of the bike and holding the wheel between your legs and twisting it back. It will make a clicking or popping sound, and pop back into place where its perfectly centered. You can also just compress the shocks all the way by bouncing on it or jumping a little hill(don't recommend just yet) it will realign them. The bent handle bars are fine for right now but you can get those replaced eventually. They don't cost much. You were wise to get sliders on your first bike. The parking lot is a good idea, don't worry about dropping it so much, the fact that you are commiting to it, means you will learn quick. Just take your time and don't fly around all the time until you get comfortable. I'm so excited for you, the bike you got is an amazing bike, also very ergo, and would make a decent road tripper. It also makes more HP then pretty much every Harley, they are totally different machines. Its basically a 600 with a milder cam, and with a tune your bike can probably hit 150 mph no problem. All that stiffness goes away eventually. I sometimes want to take a pillow on mine and take a nap on that bitch lol. You are stiff because the bike is an unknown quantity to your mind. After a couple thousand miles it will all be autopilot for the most part and you can have fun fucking around. Don't be scared to carry speeds as high as 15 to 20 over the limit at times. Especially when you can see out for half a mile and there's no cops. In town you can do it too. Cops aren't as picky as you would think with motorcycles as long as your are being a respectful rider and not pissing off other people, or going excessively high speeds. Sometimes speeding a bit on the bike makes you way safer. Its nice to kinda get away from other cars sometimes when you can. Also stay out of the busy parts oftown for a little while. The speed of city traffic makes it hard to drive for a beginner. You don't have time to do things slowly in traffic and its a bit of a dangerous place for new riders. The cruise around neighborhood streets, parking lots, side roads in the city/town. Those are good low speed practice. Also you counterstear at road speeds, and true stear at parking lot speeds. At slow speeds you start by counter steering slightly and as the bike starts to tip over into the turn, the front tire falls and snaps into place for the slow speed turn (if you aren't stiff) Stay safe and cruise around a bit Also for woody. Put your gear on, go to a asphalt road or parking lot, start your wheelies there. Its easier because you get grip on asphault. Also instead of scooting up, scoot as far back as you can and dangle your legs down where you can touch the ground. Instead of popping the clutch(advanced technique) try instead popping the clutch in slow motion with a bit more throttle. When the bike comes up just let out the throttle and it will stop climbing. You can control it very well with just your throttle hand. Its also kind of like a backflip in the way that you have to kind of commit all the way with your weight, you can't halfass do it being scared. Half of the power really is your front shocks and your weight being thrown back, the rest comes from the throttle as you mildly aggressive release the clutch. I let out halfway and as the bike starts taking off pretty hard, I give it a good bit of throttle as I let the clutch the rest of the way out not instantly but enough that that front wheel comes up.

Its called counter steering and your right, the inertia at speed helps with stability. 10mph is the speed a lot of people fall because its a borderline.
