Not often do you see that look of defeat in someone's eyes but Nolf definitely had defeated eyes after the match. Dake is crazy good right now!

These are not always mutually exclusive. Snyder from OSU had two world championships but had yet to beat Adam Coon of Michigan. D1 college wrestling, particularly in the Big10, IS world class.

Ate Nolf's lunch. Previously in trials vs Burroughs Dake always suffered from physical depletion due to numerous close matches while Jordan awaited having had none....P.S. Burroughs is one of the greatest ALL TIME wrestlers in world history.

I think it’s important to remember that Burroughs teched dake at the WTT, I think in 2013? Now dake beat Burroughs. Just because Nolf was brutally beaten now doesn’t mean he’s out by any means. I look forward to seeing nolf wrestle again.

Why do they start top/down after going out of bounds? In freestyle, don't you always start back up in neutral position?

Nolf got called for fleeing the mat (the announcer mentions it), which comes with a 2 pt penalty (how Dake got from 5 to 7) and a start in par terre position on the mat.

I wish that Dake would not have gotten that quick shot in the beginning. Nolf never recovered from that. Dake was going to win this match decisively. But selfishly, I would have liked the match to go longer because I enjoy watching Dake's mastery. He ended the matches with Dake and Nolf quickly, but then he wrestled very defensively against Jordan Burroughs. Maybe he had the same mindset in all three matches, but JB just didn't give him openings.
