You have the patience of Job. I replaced the mounts on the Viggen.

Good to see you, KP. Hope you & family are well, and I imagine it's hard to get to this stuff nowadays. On my 9-3, I seem to recall engine mounts replaced long before 80k mi. I guess I'd better check my records.

pretty easy, thankfully!

The big screw on the bottow with the washer is the oil pressure valve. You might be lucky if it's just this washer. I had to pull the engine on my 9-5 since the engine cover on the passanger side was leaking. This plate is sealed by the factory only with gasket maker and there is no way to reseal with the engine in the car

good to know! I suspect it was just moist from the cleaning above!

I don't think you mentioned changing the oil sensor plug on the back of the block which also leaks and is cheap to replace. I had to learn the hard way that my 2003 Saab 9-5 only likes stock oem seals. I had to change my outer main seal a couple of times, finally, I put in a stock, oem outer main seal and that stopped the leaking. When your engine starts sagging due to shot motor mounts, it put downward force on your PCV components which also causes running issues.

yes! Thats a common one. Those usually leak down onto the exhaust and luckily.. not there just yet for the next round of sensor lol

Might not hurt to confirm the PCV/crankcase venting system is still working properly and not causing over pressure issues.

Long time no see bud!! Well I rebuilt my turbo recently and forgot my crush washer on the top oil intake bung. Yeah it's leaking like it's been shot.

ouch!! gotta get in there and fix lol

Your frame that holds the engine is really clean and good (subframe in English?). Those are all rotten away here in Sweden.

That's one advantage of leaking oil. The only place on my 9-5 with no rust 😅

Any updates on the jaguar (did you ever add the crank pulley and get a tune?)

If you do drop the pan, plastigauge the rod and main bearings and mic the thrust bearings(keep an eye on which way they face, it matters). If there is excessive wear, the crank can drift and wear on that front seal more than usual. Still hunting for my 9-5.....being particular of course. XD

Hey Kyle, I recently bought a 2006 9-5 (B235E) with 110,000 miles on it, and I'm noticing a leak on the passenger side, as oil is running down to the underside of the pan, and also dripping onto the subframe. I find it hard to tell where it's coming from but I'm thinking it might be the front main seal or the large O-ring in there. Maybe both. Do you know of any other spots than can cause these leaks? Keep up the awesome videos!

I have a 9-3 convertible with leaking rams, I’m gonna do the job myself with rebuilt rams from top hydraulics and also replace all Hydaulic lines. How difficult of a job is this?
@KylePancis Жыл бұрын
easy! just some time and patience.

Hey my 2004 Saab 9-5 I leaking a little oil from oil cap and I’m pretty sure it’s not from spillage….. What does this mean?
