CAT 311F Excavator Review

Using this 311 F Caterpillar Excavator for a project. OVerall great sized machine for small residential and small/light commercial work. Machine was really slow however I do believe there is an adjustment in the computer that should enable a change in speed. Thanks for watching.

To move your controls backwards there is a handle in center by the floor that will slide the whole seat assembly and everything as a whole. Just a helpful tip! Nice video

Looks to be a nice sized machine. You thinking of going that size to replace the 308? Thanks for sharing

They make a bigger or wider thumb. Would make it nicer to pick things up. You can set hydraulics with the computer. It is tight getting in but a real work horse.

That's pretty typical of any Cat excavator I've been running them for 20 years they probably have the hydraulics turned down because its still on warranty. You really have to get after them to turn it up faster after the warranty period is over. I'm hoping we go with another Kobelco in the next year or so we have a Hitachi and the cab is kinda the same tight you feel like you wear it. Then you go to the Kobelco and the left arm wrest lifts right out of the way and you have room in the back of the cab for your lunch bucket. The 210's are nice machines we use to have two of them.

Kyle, as much as I'm a cat guy, o honestly think the f series are slow as heck. The new next gens put the machines where the need to be.

Kyle my guy, is there not a Komatsu dealer nearby? And can't you get some rubber tracks on the 311?
