Great looking box! Hey suggestion for cutting the lid off the box is to replace the blade in your tablesaw with a 7 1/4 “24 tooth framing blade. I use a Freud Diablo, since it is a nice thin kerf and, it fits the 5/8” arbor just perfectly and will work on your saw since it’s not a saw stop.

Why the veneer? Why not just make the whole thing from solid walnut? Looks great though.

Seasonal wood movement. The plywood is significantly more stable than solid timber

@@brendanhowe5415 Roger that. It makes sense for some of his larger projects, but this is a small box. I was just curious about his thought process.

Awesome, veneers always make feel like I'm cheating somehow although mine don't come out nearly as smooth either. I for 1 am ready for some turning videos you always inspire me actually decided to try turning after watching your work and though I don't do it as much as I wish I could I love it

If anyone still questions weather or not to get the good ear-pro, the fitment of the panels should answer it for you. As long as Kyle was at the table saw trimming down the inserts, you would be nearly def from the noise

Hi Kyle, appreciate your craftsmanship. What type of hinges did you use?

Hey Kyle, just wanted to let you know that most of your amazon links are pointing to products that aren't available any more - might want to update them if you want to sell things :-)

Que belo trabalho, parabéns. Manda um alô pro Brasil. Please.
That's great, Kyle. The hidden compartment wasn't what I was expecting but it's great the way you did it. I also like the idea of a block under the lid when you're attaching the hinges. Stay well. Bill
