Every single time I hear Kylie, I get this fuzzy feeling of nostalgia from my childhood in the late 80's and 90's... She is the best pop icon in the world for me! I just hope she will get a huge hit again in the future, in the same magnitude of "Can't Get You Out of My Head"! She deserves it.

I believe the potential is still there but it’s hard in a generation where streaming dominates the charts, and we live in a society where radio stations are ageist to women over 35. I remember “Dancing” managed to break the Top 40 on the Official UK Chart and Radio 1 only played it because it charted. It’s a shame cause women like her, Madonna and Britney Spears make better music then most of the women within the current generation. I could definitely see Kylie gaining another hit through a feature. But she’ll ALWAYS be a legend and has an incredible legacy, that is worth more then a hit single.

To score a new hit she could put on 25 stone, write songs that make people want to commit suicide, and develop a vile and unpleasant personality...........it works for Adele 👍🏻

kylie should have more confidence instead of calling her success as luck and hardwork. No, its intelligence, looks and her what i think is the perfect voice to sing pop songs especially at her concerts. Kylie i salute you.

@Daniel Clark Clark Right, cause everyone with a nice behind ends up with three decades of success in the music industry...
@thingthang29044 жыл бұрын
@Daniel Clark Clark You're the one turning this into a social justice issue, not me. We're not in a Ben Shapiro college campus QnA so your assumption that I'm trying to make some feminist point is quite the leap. In fact, my comment was very much factual. She has indeed been successful for decades (in varying degrees) and many singers with nice behinds have indeed not had even remotely the same level of success. Yes sex sells. Yes Kylie has used her sex appeal in her work and yes it paid off. Spinning Around worked for many reasons (catchy tune, Kylie returning to her pop/dance image, modern sound with a nostalgic disco throwback worked into it) and yes the hotpants were a huge reason too. But even if we assume it solely worked because of her "fuckable arse" as you put it you are only explaining why she had a hit song. Not why she then stuck the landing and maintained a career. Your argument fails because it uses one moment to justify years worth of moments. There was nothing sexy about her beating cancer and touring within a year yet that tour sold out arena concert after arena concert. The question was about her career, not her comeback song (in which case your comment would be at the very least arguable). The comeback song only gave her a shot at a long career, it didn't guarantee it in the slightest. What's funny is that Kylie didn't even give some egotistical, pretentious answer to the question. She said luck and hard work. She gave you the facts already. And maybe as you try to stick with facts and logic, try to also stick with accuracy. I never once claimed that sex doesn't sell yet you assumed that about me and based your whole argument on it.
@thingthang29044 жыл бұрын
@Daniel Clark Clark Not really logic or facts. You are going on mostly feelings. You felt my response was "over the top" or provoking. You felt my second response was long. I disagreed with you and expressed it first with sarcasm and then with a more articulate response. Hardly that "over the top". No name calling or swearing or raging. Sarcasm is as biting as it got. And while your first response indeed said that it "played a part" (which I already told you I disagreed when looking beyond just a song or two) you later said that in Kylie's case she indeed ended up with three decades of a career because of a nice rear. That's not me putting words in your mouth. I said that sarcastically and you agreed that for Kylie that's the case.

Taped on my 48th b-day, mates! Because Kylie's from Melbourne, VIC, boy has this sheila changed in the last 32 years! I've never gone to Australia before, but since I've got a passport, my family's taking me there this September, to Sydney, NSW, where she shot her "Lucky" video. And I will be playing it in my upcoming 30-year high school reunions in Santa Ana, CA & Houston, TX to kick it off.

I think she's cute when she sings. If imdb is correct she screen debuted in 1976(of course i don't know when it was filmed).
