The reason why Kylo Ren's lightsaber has the fiery effect is because when he tried to bleed the kyber crystal, he cracked it, requiring it to have lateral vents on either side of the handle in order to divert the extra heat generated by the crystal.

That $30 one actually has a more accurate and better looking hilt, despite the plastic and the paint. The vents on the sides are thinner, which is accurate. Both legacy and force fx failed about that. And you're right, it's the best $30 you're going to spend

Just in comparison alone, the $30 has a spot on Hilt in accuracy, you could even replace those plastic blades for a set that is the screenused length and have a much better saber for under $300

You guys are on it with these lesser expensive saber comparisons! Soo a little confession..... My first legacy saber was actually Kylo Rens . After Leaving Dok Ondars I noticed someone else wielding the Kylo Saber and something about looked kinda goofy to me? Now I realize it is the side emitting lights that didn’t look so great to me. The lesser expensive one has the textured unstabley fiery pointyness that makes it look sick! Anyways in the same visit before opening my Kylo saber I actually ended up exchanging it for Darth Vader’s instead. No regrets here however I really want that $30 Kylo Saber now! 😆Thanks for making this video and you guys have a great Star Wars day too! 🤘🏼

I’m going to Orlando soon with friends and I need to get the Kylo one for sure. Maul was my favorite as a kid but since I watch the sequels more and more Kylo started to grow on me and became my favorite character in all of Star Wars

Hey there, whats a good Kylo Ren lightsaber that I can buy that is not that expensive? Im hearing good things and some bad things about the Black Series Kylo Ren Saber. Is it worth it?

Due to the inflation, everything got pricey. There are several Kylo Ren sabers such as $30 dollar one, saberforge/ulitmate fx, Star Trader custom your own saber etc. For black series there are two versions, one from Force Awaken version that is not detachable, and Last Jedi version that is an elite saber. To each their own, the LED features and joyable is the black elite one, but due to the easy blade loose and wrong on/off switch and no belt clip, it shows some negative reviews. Cool saber for fun.. but gone too pricey. (And Hasbro is dealing with some quality problem.) A good display one goes to legacy version. Although LED power is recycled with $30~40 version so don't expect too much about that. (Caution: Blade sold separately and there are some defects too.) The good Kylo Ren sabers, well... neopixel is the option. But very pricy than official ones. But I heard it's definitely worth it.

Hmmm... does it turn off if it's not moving?? or does it just turn off for no reason? ... if that's the case, make sure batteries are secure. Last resort, call up disney store.. I'm sure they will switch it out for you.

Hey Tom, I know it looks that way on camera but the blade is actually a dark red. It's always very hard for cameras to pick up that shade of the blade for some reason. That's why I try to film them in the pitch black to bring out the color
