Excellent tutorial. Thank you. As a Shotokan practitioner, I really love this Kyokushin style close range high mawashigeri. Great technique.

Nero good to see you staying safe man. It's crazy I was watching Conor McGregor knockout highlights. It just occured to me, his stance is Karate. I researched and he mentioned his First Martial Arts training was in Goju Ryu. That wide stance is Karate.

Dude im in martial arts for 10 years. Im stretching a lot but i just cant get flexible 🤦🏼♂️
@markmessi90203 жыл бұрын
Youre doing it wrong. I guarantee your stretching routine is garbage/ youre not timing your stretching sessions right. If you gotta ask what i mean by stretching session, exactly. Theres two programs that are free on youtube that you can start with, follow them religiously. Bill Wallace stretching for martial arts and 30 days to full split routines. Look up side split and front split videos. If that sounds like too much work, thats why your ass isnt hitting the grass. I dont care if I sound like an asshole, 10 years and "you cant get flexible" means your lazy with stretching or just havent done your homework. What i mentioned earlier solves both. Just do it every day for a month. Good luck

You didn't mention about a thing that is probably obvious to you and you're doing it naturally now, what I have seen with many high level fighters ;). But to kick close mawashigeri jodan you need to kick it from the "closed" hip, so your butt is to the back, you're folding a little like a folding knife. You are making more lenght for the leg this way and it's nicely visible when you're kicking the bag.
