1 year on, haven't seen this zinc battery. Is this just a commercial interview to get funding??????

They take US gov't funding paid for by the US people, but the people don't get their batteries. No, they give them to people in Africa.

Okay, 18lb per car, no, Cobalt is now down to 8% in any NMC 811 chemistry which is 8lb per car roughly and Tesla is close to getting 3%. The 100kWh holy grail is the same threshold that Tesla is about to break but it's calculated on a per cell level not sure if that is the same for NantEnergy. I'm skeptical since everyone touts the latest battery breakthrough and 90% of the forward looking battery developers are focussed on solid state. From the sound of Patrick talking about "size" I suspect energy density cannot be matched yet of L

they have big cost for maintenance, the battery always gone leaking. This previous product is called fluidic energy

interesting. Zinc air batteries are supposed to have some sort of felt like material soaked with the electrolyte in them and no fluid sloshing around. If they can make a lead acid battery not leak I don't know why they can't these. They do have to have vents to draw in air to work though.
