L'Oréal re-formulated the True Match Foundation, but is it any better and most importantly, is it good for women over 50? I'll put the two to the test, including going to the gym.

From what I can see online it looks like the new one is a little less expensive since it doesn't have the sunscreen which is great. I don't think Loreal makes a bad foundation. Of course they don't all work for all people but I can honestly say I've never tried a Loreal foundation that I didn't like.

I hope the only change with the new one is they added the pump! The old one is my all time favorite from any high dollar foundation. I added a pump to mine and I've always used a brush.

I hate the new one! They took out the 17 SPF, and I'm not happy about that. I'm very fair and get skin cancers, so I need all the SPF I can get! I do not understand why they would take it out when the ozone layer is disappearing as we speak.

At first, I was not sure if this was a reformulation of the True Match Nude or the original True Match because of the new bottle design being so darn similar to the True Match Nude-I think that was a mistake on their part. I love True Match Nude and they'd better never reformulate that one! I didn't care for the old True Match, was too heavy for me. In fact, I threw out a 3/4 full bottle because I didn't like it much, never wore it and it sat and sat. Maybe it was an older bottle and had thickened or maybe it was just the wrong shade, but I have so many I really like, a few from L'Oreal, that I won't likely try the new one. It looks really nice on your skin, I must say, but I'm 66 years old and have more texture than you do, though I do not have dry skin-the original one I purchased after I entered my 60's and it settled into all my lines, a definite black mark on the foundation, but hey, we can't expect actual miracles from a foundation at a certain point in time, LOL! 😂~Cynthia

I'll use up the old one I have before getting the new one since there wasn't a noticeable difference. I am happy they removed the sunscreen from it as I often get acne from products with sunscreen so that alone makes me want it.

I wish I could wear liquid foundations, but they don’t feel good on my face, too occlusive like a heavy face cream, and they make me look older. I gave up looking for now, and sticking to a powder, which most women will say ages them. Go figure. 🤷‍♀️🤣 That foundation looks gorgeous on you Bobbie !

What powder foundation do u use? I like the ease of powder, but my mature, combo oily skin makes the powder cakey when my oils come thru which emphasizes my pores ond fine lines

@@midlifemom5829 I use the Fenty Beauty powder foundation, but want to try out the Tart Amazonian Clay powder foundation. That may work out for your oily skin if it has clay as an ingredient. It’s all trial & error, and most powder looks bad on me, but liquid foundation looks even worse. 😕 I still try out a liquid every now and then, haven’t given up completely, but using a powder is so much faster to apply, and doesn’t feel smothering on my face. I definitely couldn’t wear liquid foundation in the spring/summer months, way too hot here in NV, and it would be sweated off in minutes. 😂

I love the new formal. For me it is way better than the old one. The new one doesn't settle in my fine lines, like the old one did and looks more natural on my skin.

I like using a brush so I probably wouldn’t use the new True Match. However, it does look like you can use a brush. I love the Christian Dior foundation but am looking for something cheaper with similar coverage.

I love your videos, thank you! Anything with Hyaluronic Acid sucks every bit of moisture from my skin. I live in a very dry climate so I wonder if the Acid is getting the moisture from my skin instead of the air? Does anyone else have this problem? I have heard of people having this issue. It’s extremely important that you moisturize really well after having anything with HA in it. If you live in a dry climate, I would steer away from it.

Hydroquinone is an ingredient you need, but it needs to be in prescription strength. I use Agency's dark spot cream. You can also ask your dermatologist or go to a MedSpa to see if they sell one, but be prepared for a higher cost there.

I put it on with my fingers and blend it with a sponge. It's a very thin foundation. So far have not founmy perfect shade. The fair shades are too pink for my money.

I hate the new formula! HATE IT! Why in the world would L'Oreal change a foundation that is byond perfect?! And why would they remove the SPF when the ozone layer is disappearing as we speak? I'm Scotch-Irish and very fair (I wear C2/Natural Ivory), and I also get skin cancers, so I need all the SPF I can get. I don't like the pump either b/c it pumps out way too much, and I end up wasting so much of it! I've used 1/2 a bottle of the new formulation in the same amount of time as I would have used 1/8 to 1/4 of the old bottle b/c I could control how much I used without the pump. If I've gotten my whole face done but still need a tidbit for my eyelids or under eye, I have to use a whole pump Just so wasteful! I also hate sponges ~ they're dirty and suck up the foundation, so you end up using more of it (the cynic in me thinks they tell you to use a sponge so they can make more money!) They say to use a sponge and not use a brush with the new formula. Scr*w that, I'm a brush girl!
