1. Only swimmers who compete wear Speedos in the US. Nobody else does. 2. ONE bar that has a shooting range. This is NOT a thing in the US. 3. Those humongous burgers? There are restaurants scattered across the US who feature huge meals and it's a challenge to see if you can eat the whole thing. Sometimes it's burgers, sometimes steak, sometimes humongous buckets of ice cream. It's a novelty. And few restaurants do it and even fewer people participate. 4. Tipping story: kinda long. I am a female truck driver (18 wheeler) the steak house was empty except 1 other table. The waitress put her card on my table while I was at the buffet. I did not see her again through my meal. She was too busy talking to her friends at the other table. The line girl brought me my clean plates and drink refills. I decided to leave a penny and a poem. Took a bit for me to make up the poem. I had wrote it down & was digging for the penny when she walked up behind me & asked if I " needed anything else?" 🤔 I crooked my neck and said " little late to ask now" while pointing at the dirty dishes! She huffed off. Poem left: This ex waitress laid this penny down To let you know I did not forget to tip Not 1 time did you come around So this old penny is all your gonna get!! I asked the line girl to show the waitress the $10 tip I gave her for waiting on me. (Not her job) I had just climbed into my Peterbilt when that waitress came storming out and threw the penny at my truck yelling her head off. I left & went to the truck stop. They said they knew the owner & called them. Needless to say...after hearing about my experience....they headed for the restaurant. Karma baby!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@jbrou123 I think I pay $185 for a 5 gallon bag-in-box of Coca Cola syrup. The dispenser lever sometimes gets stuck so it varies on how many drinks you get from a box. Plus it costs another $60 for a tank of CO2 to make it fizzy, and it takes 95 gallons of CO2 for 1 gallon of syrup. A tank holds 50 pounds or roughly 6 gallons of CO2. I'm just guessing so my math is probably a little off. It works out to be around a dollar or so for a glass that's roughly the size of a McDonald's medium drink. While food costs are usually 28% of the menu price, drinks are usually a break-even because of product waste, free refills and employee theft (or employee consumption if you prefer). I'm at home so I'm guessing at these numbers, and I have no way of knowing exactly what my ice maker adds to the electric bill. I think the majority of the electric bill is for the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer. The cost of electricity is factored into the food prices on the menu, and the drinks are more of a break-even. It cost me 12 grand for the water filtration system which supplies the ice machine and customers who drink water as well as the soft drink dispenser (and tea brewing station) so ice definitely isn't cheap. Plus you've got to dump the ice once a week to clean the bin, but most places never clean their ice bin unless they're expecting their annual health department inspection.

Adding more ice actually keeps the product better longer. If you add say 3 ice cubes, it will melt much quicker than if you fill the glass with ice. The cup will also hold less product (soda, juice, etc) but you finish the product quicker and your drink never gets watered down. With fountain drinks there is an actual science to how they mix the soda water and syrup to ice added in the cup. This is why you will see the line to add ice on the side of the cup at say McDonalds. We do have the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin and the Sacajawea dollar coin. The main reason restaurants and bars use a lot of ice is because ice is cheap, it takes up more room and it cost the restaurant less money. Sure they'll give you a stern look but who cares, you're paying for it, order it the way you want. If I considered ordering something like this, I would take it home add a few more buns and divide it up for a couple of weeks. I'd probably freeze some of it and eat other stuff in between. Then again, I probably just wouldn't buy it. :)

Just to clarify: You can buy beer and wine on Sundays in Texas, but not 'hard liquor' For take home boxes, it also depends on how your meal goes. For example, I joke with my friends that I can go to a restaurant, like Pluckers (chicken wings). I'll get an appetizer of their Bacon & Cheese fries, then get the same as my side that comes with my chicken, and end up taking the chicken home because I'm full. Also, more traditional sit-down restaurants also being freebees like Rolls. Texas Roadhouse brings fresh rolls with their cinnamon butter. You can quickly get full if you aren't paying attention.

At the end of the night, there were three of us still sitting around conversing. Here comes the waiter clearing off the table and then complaining about how the other people had not bothered to tip. I'm new to the channel but I think I have a weird "Tipping" experience. I worked at a grocery store for a few years. The customers were great to me so I was to them. We were not allowed to receive tips for helping someone find something, helping them to their car, or for any other reason. We were trained to help the customers with something called "Feelings Class" which is just a put yourself in their shoes type of class. I helped a customer find a few items and he claimed I did this every time he asked for help which I didn't remember him but loved to help customers out with whatever I could. He tipped me $5 just for showing him around the store. I told him I wasn't allowed and he told me he refused to take it back. I asked if he was sure. Yes! So I thanked him and turned to go do my other chores. I looked and it was a $50 bill. I panicked and found the guy and told him of his mistake. He said, "No mistake. I meant to give that to you," and refused to take it back yet again. I was dumbfounded. That was more than a day's paycheck at the time...well, this store hated scheduling people so it was more than a weeks pay to boot. Yes, some places in America refuses to let people work there for more than 9 hours a week. Two 4 1/2 hour days is all you get. Food City, btw. That guy helped me out so much. There are a lot of great people like that in America who will help you out just out of the goodness of their hearts. Those small gestures can save lives and I am NOT JOKING. $50 isn't small to me nor a lot of people but it is less than pocket change for others.

I'm a AR 15 owner and have a conceal carry permit here in Minnesota. I'm not 100% on this because the laws are so complicated but, if you get caught firing your weapon while under the influence of anything you are not only in serious trouble but will most likely loose all of your gun privileges. Only a complete idiot would go shooting while drunk or high

My Father was a bit "frugal" at times. He would tell a story of one time he left a small tip for a waiter and the guy followed him out to the parking lot. The waiter was not happy about the amount and was asking if the service was bad etc. Ended up with my Dad telling him "If you don't like what I tipped, I'll take it back!"

That never happens, stop it.

Tipping in America 10% for breakfast, 15% for lunch. 20% for dinner. You can tip more if the service is exceptional or less if it's very poor or the food blows. But that's a good standard.

When I was 17, we went to a restaurant and we didn’t have very much money at all. We ordered two coffees and two soups that was all we could afford. We felt bad because we didn’t have enough money to tip so we scrounged in the car and grabbed a bunch of change out of the cupholder, which was mostly pennies, and left it on the table for a tip. We didn’t do it to be mean, but the waiter came outside, followed us to the car, threw the pennies at us and called us chumps

One thing I hated about Europe was that my soda was never cold enough.

@@huitrecouture I don’t know if I found that to be an issue. I will say this though. I had a glorious night in the Piazza Navona in Rome ruined by all their “migrants”. It was just after sunset and my family & I had just finished eating in one of the restaurants that lines the Piazza. My mom & brother went to shop, and my Dad and I sat at the edge of a fountain waiting for them. All we wanted to do was look & listen to the beautiful fountain under the stars as we waited. Instead, literally ever 30 seconds, a foreigner, and I mean NOT Italian, would come up to us & ask us to buy whatever trinket they were selling. It was the most infuriating experience. I get they were trying to make a living, but the migrant situation is so out of control that there’s not enough space for all of them. So they swarm like locusts. It ruined what had the making of a perfect moment. Cause instead of remembering the beauty of the fountain, all I remember are the sales people. All in all I LOVED Rome though & really want to go back. And the hotel rooms in London are WAY too small!

As far as I know, ALL liquor stores are closed on Sunday in America. On Sundays, bars can open and sell liquor. I don’t know if the grocery stores and convenient stores that carry liquor are allowed to sell it on Sundays though.

Bro, when I fill my YETI thermal cup up with ice water, I fill the thing up to at least ¾ worth of ice. At least. Because there's no shortage of ice, man. If you onky put a couple of cubes in your drink, no wonder y'all think that ice waters down your drink. Because that little bit of ice melts pretty fast and yeah, it'll water down your drink. But if you put a lot of ice in it, it'll cool the drink down enough to where the ice doesn't melt as fast and you'll be able to enjoy a nice cold refreshing drink for quite sometime with gradual ice meltage. But you're right...for people who prefer drinking room temperature "cold" beverages are fucking weird. Just saying. I recently found out that my sister is one of those, and I'm like, "WHAT?!?" Huh? Why?" She said colder drinks hurt her throat or some such nonsense. Pussy...😂 I say the colder the better. Room temp anything sucks ass. Room temp coffee, room temp soda, room temp Kool-Aid, or alcoholic beverage is nasty. Either load that shit down with 🧊 or have it lip burning hot 🔥.

The burger was at the Heart Attack Grill. It's a theme grill that has tried to spread, but all of them have failed except for the first. The burgers reportedly aren't very good. Most of the rest of the stuff is not common, either.

Definitely the take home box is very normal in America. In fact, it’s considered to be appropriate. I expect to be served enough for a second meal which I’ll take home to be reheated in the microwave.

6:00 Probably a lot of us have bought a burger that big so we can say we did, but we didn't finish it unless we had a lot of help or worked on it for several days. I've only seen people buy these for YT or TT videos.

I worked at a small mom and pop's restaurant, and a group of about 10 people came in and were rude, and messy. They let their children run around the place like it was a amusement park. After 2 hours of this behavior, they leave the 2 waitresses waiting on them a $8 tip on a $120 bill. My Boss, the owner follows them out into the parking lot with the line cook and a few customers, and get them to give a better tip. The girls made $20 each that night from that group alone. LOL This was in the early 2000's.
