All back roads is why there not Flathead. It's in Montana and the road construction is very bad there. This was a fabulous tour. I loved it. First, glad to see Lynn doing much better and in good spirits. And hope you are feeling much better as well. Finally !!!! Some real wide streets with real houses and real grass. I guess you can tell I come from the poorer side of town. I've traveled to various parts of Mexico over several decades and the only thing I've seen is very narrow streets, houses all built together, made of concrete, no grass anywhere, and if there was a tree somewhere it was really scrawny, except maybe in an older park. And I'm talking from Northern Mexico to Central to Oaxaca and surrounding areas. And yes, the hotel is really pretty. I love this idea of you driving around. This is the best way to show us around and we get your narration about the place. Love this.

So glad Lynn is out enjoying the sun ☀️ and that your health issue is resolved also. Tell Lynn I pulled a muscle in my foot/ankle yesterday at the Mall while trying on flip flops! 🏖Hubby has to get the Malls wheelchair and I had a 2 hour wait at the hospital 🏥 . No x Ray because I didn’t have the symptoms of a break. It only is excruciating painful if I put my weight on it. So here I sit on a sunny ☀️ day also. No flip flops for awhile for me Lynn! 😉😎😆lol Who said shopping isn’t dangerous! 🛍🛍🛍🛍 That is a beautiful neighbourhood, so many interesting houses 🏡 it so green and lovely streets. Swiped from mayoclinic.org: In the past, doctors recommended that people with small pouches (diverticula) in the lining of the colon avoid nuts and foods with small seeds, such as tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries. It was thought that these tiny food particles could lodge in diverticula and cause inflammation (diverticulitis). But there is no scientific evidence that seeds and nuts cause diverticulitis flares.

Hi Jerry, Glad to see Lynn in her shining glory. She is a trooper. I enjoy the driving around and look forward to more. You drove right by my house and if I was out front I would have flagged you down! Even though I live in La Floresta, several of the houses you spotlighted are unknown to me. Guess I better get out and do a little walkabout. In La Floresta the walking is good. Even though we have cobblestone streets and uneven sidewalks, the first half meter of roadway alongside the curb is usually flat and well paved.

Hi JC, it was so good to see Lynn out and enjoying the fresh air, she is looking very well.🌻You mentioned that you have diverticulitis, not a good thing to have, I know because I suffered with it while in the military some time after I got out I was told that I had a hole that was forming so they cut about a foot and a half of my intestines out, they said don't worry because you have a lot left. I no longer suffer, but I still have to be careful of obstructions when eating anything. Don't eat popcorn, and if you eat any kind of nutty food, make sure you chew them well, don't eat raw vegetables, cook them. It will save you from suffering so much. I was pleased to see such nice neighborhoods, some were a little out there, but nice. That long thing looked like a cell tower, or a camera in disguise. Loved the hotel, and pool area, but the buzzard's looked hungry. Just kidding! Thank you for the tour, nice to see you both doing fine.🌻🌻❤️

Very enjoyable. I, too, love to drive around and look at houses. The tiled house ...omg...the amount of work. It reminded me a little of Watts towers. It would be really interesting to see inside, because the artist who created the outside must have continued on the inside. I like the spontaneity of your drive, just jumping out to walk through the hotel. Loved that. The boat tail grackle conversation made me laugh too. You said you would improve your camera handling...panning slower would be my suggestion. When you look at the lake from the hotel, I wanted to see the white birds on the water...but you must see them a lot, because you focused on the buzzards. Ha. It almost looked like the buzzards were part of the hotel's aviary. Thank you for taking us on a drive. Look forward to more Lake Chapala neighborhoods.

Last time I went to Ajijic (with my Twin Shaft Putter) I called the Real de Chapala Hotel reservations manager in Guadalajara and tried to have her bring down the room rate. I almost succeeded... What amazes me is that, in your video, you can´t see a single guest! I´m glad I failed in my attempt. I guess the buzzards (zopilotes) have something to do with it... I have been told that they have a great breakfast buffet. Great video Jerry, glad to see Lynn up and around. Saludos!

Hmmmmm .... not sure I ever made the connection from you to Monte Le Gre before. I think they keep their doors open with weekenders from Guadalajara. There were a few people in the restaurant. Other than them, nope, no guests. One car in the parking lot. It was a Wednesday. Personally, I'd prefer the Nueva Posada Hotel.

@@JCTravelStories Here is the connection, Jerry. Monte Le Gre is the name I use as the creator of my songs, my "artistic" name. I have composed around 250 songs/instrumentals and offer them to established artists. Here is a semi-classical I made for Andrea Bocelli named "Listen to the leaves". I decided to do this since Montealegre is almost impossible to pronounce right in English, so, I took my last name and came up with Monte Le Gre. It´s easy to read, sounds and looks English/French and, in general, I think, is more appealing to the eye. And that is the connection. Saludos! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3mpYpJ_rK-Xh68

Jerry, great to see you and Lynn are both doing better. I enjoyed the neighborhood tour-- it's a neat idea for a series, especially if you show a map view of the area you're exploring. :) . Be well!

Right on! It's fun to follow along. I think I located upper La Floresta on map-- just west of water park. Not sure which houses are the funky ones you pointed out, though I have a hunch.
