All in all, it's pretty nostalgic...and not just with him either. There were many pianists at the time that were really active (and some still are). pfff, entirely depends, some people hit 2-3k hours in a video game in just a year, im sure you can achieve 10k hours on a piano in 5 years. 10k hours is more than achievable at a young age, again it just depends on how much time your willing to spend on it.

Yeah I mean it's like 417 24-hour days of practice, so a year and 2 months of constant playing. just divvy that up over however many years say 5 and you get 6 hours a day.
