I feel really bad for Biggs when he and Cole are escaping the building that Mapes sets on fire; one of Biggs' world war one stories is that when he was in France, he got trapped in a barn that was set on fire and destroyed by German flamethrower units, leaving him with lasting trauma, so all I could think of during the fire escape scene is Biggs getting a potential PTSD episode from being once again in a confined structure that's on fire, so I remember shooting the gas and running out of there really quickly because I didn't want Biggs to get hurt.

The people who made it were called Team Bondi and their studio shut down with this being their only game made. Rockstar never really touched LA Noire, the only thing they have on it is publishing it along with tweaking a bit of the game, So sadly the chances of an LA Noire 2 are pretty much nil

In the beginning, when the explosion happens, Herschel says "You think those Ruskie sons of bitches have dropped the H-bomb on us?". However, the H-bomb was first developed in 1952 and the game is set in 1947. I love this game and in certain aspects it is really historically accurate but certain small lines seem to be overlooked and I can still respect it as historically even with it's minute flaws.

I feel like even after the case is solved, there's still some minor mysteries left unanswered: 1. What happened to Hangstrom/McLellan's wife and kid? He died in the explosion, but where were they? 2. What was the name of the Lockheed employee? Not significant, but it always weirded me out never discovering his identity. 3. What happened to Tomoko Okamoto? Did she die in the explosion with Hangstrom/McLellan, did she skip town, or did she get offed by Mapes as well? 4. A dumb question, but was the address in the pictures Hangstrom/McLellan's residence or someone else's?

My guess is Hangstrom/McLellan’s family were already out of town waiting for him to join them with the profits he would have made from the deal with Hughes, Okamoto definitely died in the explosion given the presence of her possessions and spy equipment at the wreckage site, and that house was probably being rented by Mapes and used as a hideout for Hangstrom as he was seen in all photos relating to the house, burning it would eliminate his connection to the crime.

There are a couple of clues online that Rockstar are developing a sequel but it’s believed that it would be set in Miami in the ‘80s (so like Miami Vice and all that stuff!). There was a leak where the radio station audio (KTI radio - like the one used in LA Noire) was playing classic 80s songs. But take all that with a pinch of salt because nothing has been confirmed by Rockstar as of yet.

Now nearing the end & I rate it as a very clever, well thought out & thought provoking experience. It seems really strange for Biggs to be concerned about the Soviets dropping a Hydrogen Bomb on them. The Soviet Union wouldn't even conduct its first nuclear weapons test until 2 years later in 1949, and the first Hydrogen Bomb wouldn't be tested until 1952.

I think one of the writers made a simple goof and put "H-Bomb" instead of "A-Bomb". Of course, the Russians didn't have an atomic bomb at that point either, but how was Biggs to know that? Far as he knows, atom bombs exist and the damned dirty commies have gotten their hands on one.

This case makes me sad, for a couple of reasons. Not just cause the next case is the final one, but judging by how pleased McKelty was, not just to see a former dirty cop like Mapes get his comeuppance, but the way he praised Phelps and even flashing him a thumbs up, I think even in the worst case scenario, Phelps would have a place in the Arson desk. Keep in mind, McKelty was very hard on Phelps when he first joined (justifiable due to Phelps' tainted reputation by then), but had the story ended there, Phelps would definitely be welcome at the Arson desk. Alas, the next case for Phelps would be his last due to the appearance of one man from his past.
