I’ve used the NS2 for decades. So much so I often forget it’s there 😂 It just works. X pattern is definitely the way to go and I find it more natural than the isp’s I’ve tried. If I remember rightly when it’s in mute mode it’ll be either muted or gated when powered on. That’s how I use it. So when you power up you know it’s not going to make any noise one way or the other. Great for changing guitars or as a stutter pedal. Great video 🤘🏼

Sorry, but you've completely misunderstood the point of the mute setting. When set to mute, yes, the signal is muted when the pedal is engaged. But when the pedal is disengaged with the mute setting on, the noise reduction is activated. So when set to mute, pedal on = mute, pedal off = noise reduction. When set to reduction, pedal on = reduction, pedal off = no reduction. So actually mute is the setting most people want, since it completely eliminates noise even when the pedal is not activated. Isnt that why you got a noise pedal in the first place? What's the scenario where someone says "ooh, yeah, now is the time when I want some noisey hum? "
