Sadly, 'the shareholders' aren't some mythical group of wealthy people. They are all of us. Unless we have each specifically stated that we don't want to invest in the arms industry, that's exactly where our general investments eg pensions etc are invested. Licences can include clauses to stop resale to sanctioned countries. The punishment would be removal of licences to export to those additional countries.

I think it’s fair to ask if Stamers view is influenced by his family connections just as Corbyn has been accused of partiality by his friendships. Starmer’s dreadful attitude (cutting off power and water to civilians is defending oneself) is callous and inhumane goes against the opinion of international courts who support Corbyn’s perspective however vilified he is rather than Starmer’s.
