I found that the Labradar tripod is decent quality and convenient/stable to use. I got the little sight-thingy, it’s ok but you can easily do withou it. Rather than batteries I use a power pack. Evidently the power pack cable connection is subject to becoming loose/intermittent because the straight-in style of connector and cable sticking out applies quite a bit of leverage on the connector. To avoid that problem I bought a right-angle connector cable - if you go that route make sure that you check whether you need a right-angle left or right hand version. The usb connector is polarized and the left/right cable makes a differenct to how you have to route the wire. I think that the microphone trigger is pretty well required for airguns. I've no trouble with mine - just read the manual and set it up at the appropriate distance. There's an "indicator bar" that shows how well the microphone picked up the shot. The thing that i like with the Labradar is that the angle of view is wide enough that you can move around quite a bit while shooting where the FX Radar is more sensitive to setup. Like the Labradar, its been reliable for me... as long as I remember to arm it LOL! I'm in the habit of glancing at the unit to check for the orange light before shooting - just part of my pre-shot check to make sure that a deer hasn't wandered into my shooting lane (again). Nothing like a scope-full of deer hair break your concentration 😮 My suggestion - read the manual and spend a bit of time setting the unit up to your preferences. Enjoy your Labradar! Cheers!

I bought one for my firearms. I bought Labradar's microphone for air rifle use. I had terrible results. I moved the microphone to various locations in relation to muzzle with no improvement. I even replaced their microphone with a better one and still no improvement in detecting my air rifle. I ended up buying the FX that was designed for air rifles.

Yep I seen the Labrador’s not pick up the shots as well. Hopefully I can just turn and have it on all the time and not worry about the microphone triggers. We will see right ??? Thanks for watchingl…..

Awesome, man. can't wait to see what you come up with that new tool, but you are right about the bc they put on the label or tin 😉 it not always right that's why I like shooting varmint knockers because Dale doesn't put a bc on his bag he makes you figure it out because not everyone shoots at 1000fps some ppl shoot at 900 fps others shoot at 1100 fps look at Ted's video on the nsa 31.2 bc was way off but he was shooting them at 1100 fps so yep can't wait thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍

Nice setup man. Wish I could remember all the features of the new fx radar that is coming. I remember it will be like a grand so I think this is the good choice. The lab radar that is.

@@ShootingTargets727 the only really big difference I remember is the fx didn’t need the sound of the shot to activate. It might be a little more consistent in picking up shots of a quiet airgun.

BC is relative to velocity in my experience has been the faster, the velocity, the better the BC.

Yea, from my reading it indicated that once you break and debrake the sound barrier those are 2 areas that mess up stability and accuracy. So going subsonic up to a point works well. Going over then back again to subsonic create instability that destabilizes the bullet.. At least that is what slug makers are telling me lol.. Thanks for watching....

My labradar doesn’t provide BC. I use another app and input muzzle then the furthest yardage readings. Maybe the new unit does bc but my 3 year old unit doesn’t

Yep, looking for it I think it is reference from another site that you have to hand jam the numbers into a spreadsheet.... hmmmm Still looking for an easier way...

I hate to say it, but I have got the bc that Griffin states before. One of them I lost like 50 fps at 50 yards, which is a bc of around .12, and that's what he had on the package. Another thing is elevation and pressure change will determine your bc, so depending on where you are in the world determines what your bc will be. Not everybody's will be exactly the same but can be pretty dang close.

Good to hear. I think the thing is, is it should get exposed if any of these slug makers start COOKING the numbers... As the industry heats up, I can just about guarantee you there will be guys trying to OUT BC other brands simply for the sake of sales and have to deal with the fallout later or saying oohh that was a misprint lol. Good to things are getting close. I wont be too hard but if it is way off like .275 listed or .35 listed and it shoots .11 well ???

@ShootingTargets727 LOL! A lot of companies do try to put crazy bc's out there. Have you looked at the Altaros slugs? In .25 cal they say the 49 grains have a bc of .21, which is pretty crazy. Also, those pointed slugs you showed would be insane if they had a bc that high. I can tell you from experience that flat base slugs have a lower bc than dish base and, cup base and of course, bts. Anyway, I can't wait to see you put that chronograph to use. Your welcome btw.

In talking with the slug builder he stated more like .7 bc simulated. I was like dude if it gets half that say .351 for either the .308 or .457 that be incredible…. Swagged Lead with some machined pointed head. They are EXPENSIVE about .70 cents a shot so yea hopefully they should perform.

i am curious if a bullet with such long nose and flat bottom will perfom much better , if is get a little spinning it will tumble easy ,short sharp point and boat tail is a proven type.. if yoo want to hunt at 300 plus , a firearm will be better
