Great review. I absolutely LOVE the stocks. I am soo drawn to the midnight blue stock that its all I can do not to get one right now. It looks gorgeous. I wish the standard version was less expensive than the HP version though really its a software change and shorter barrel. They really do need to have the picatinny rail on the bottom as standard though I can understand wwhy some dont want it as its a smoth place to hold the rifle. I'm certain AoA could fit it easily. I've got a Hunstman revere safari in 177, a BRK Ghost in 177 and 25. Im trying to decide if I should get this in 177 as a primary HFT rifle or kick it up to 25 or 30 caliber and use it as a 50 and 100 bench rifle. HFT is what I enjoy shooting the most though so far. But the kicker is for $600 more you are into the alpha wolf range. I Love the alpha wolf safari looks. Then it boils down to do you want a shorter bullpup, or a longer traditional rifle? You do gain alot of advantages, easy of programming, barrel switching etc. However for the cost, you could get two BRK ghosts. Now if they released the ghost with a safari stock, that would be a take my money now rifle. Oh decisions decisions. lol

Awesome review on the red wolf it's a beautiful looking air gun, but I can not see myself spending that much money on an air gun ever again. I still shake my head because I have two fx impacts. I know they are 2000 dollar air guns, but still, it's a lot of money and I still to this day shake head and say I guess 😅 but I do like to tinker and tune so the fx air guns are great for that imo also I do believe in a free Floating barrel the impacts are not that free floating but they are being held by 0rings in place the reason I say I like free floating barrel is because I bought a 800mm barrel kit and it came with a barrel clamp that holds the barrel in front the accuracy was ok but once I removed the clamp and just the barrel in place with out clamp the accuracy is insane for my gun out to 220 yards both 700mm and 800mm 22 cal and 25 cal 700mm no clamps the guns are accurate maybe the Harmonics but yeah thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍 ty for the info

Yes 2900.00 for the rifle is pretty insane. The older I get I cant seem to justify the price even thou it is the most accurate rifle I own. That said, its at its limitations of what it can do as a whole. I think there are other rifles with power that will finally get the accuracy down and then ask myself why this rifle. Things are changing so fast that to keep it around well maybe and maybe not ... Thanks for watching ...

I know your concern for the 5 year warranty, I'm not sure when you go making changes that the warranty is still there for the Impact also when you go and make a lot of changes. You mentioned about tuning and that this gun doesn't have that, well if your willing to go risk your warranty then look at a helliboard, you will have 12 power levels and all customized by you, for any power, any pellet/slug, I would call that tunable wouldn't you?

Thanks! Do you think, on the (HP Model) low power setting it would be too much velocity for a .177 wadcutter pellet on a 10m range? Or maybe selecting the low power model would be more suitable for a 10m range using a .177 wadcutter? We have three 10m ranges in our retirement community. Thanks again for a great video...

I think just guessing that the HP version is going to be too much power. Probably going to shoot that at the bare min settings high 800s if not 900s but cant really tell as there are so many wad cutters in different weight. Hey also thanks for watching and the sub....

Daystate already do a 65ft/lbs version and with a Safari stock you can be a little more brutal in use compared to a laminate stock. They also supply the HP versions with the A.R.T barrels which are a further step up being selected Polygonal design. Not sure if they reach the US but PRS in the UK make a picatinny bipod rail that fixes by the existing stock mounting hole approved by Daystate ( someone else has already mentioned this ) and Air Superiority make a scope picatinny rail. Blame us Brits for the dovetail, it’s something that still appears on lots if our manufacturers ( AirArms, BSA , etc !)

@@robertweisman6378 My .22 HP is a much better slug gun than a pellet gun. I can't get mine to shoot pellets that well, but it's unbelievable with certain slugs. 23 or 26 grain .217 griffins, and the .216 NSA 20.3 grain are amazing. All the .177 Redwolf guys seem to shoot pellets really well.

Thanks for the review! It's certainly a nice airgun, considered getting one but the price and complexity put me off. I prefer a mechanical system that I can tweak and tune. I shoot within the effective range of the airgun and that's strongly influenced by the caliber. I've always considered (for realistic and practical applications) the .177 to be a 60 yard caliber and .22 about 90 yards. Can't say about larger calibers because I don't shoot them. My definition of "realistic and practical" is how far will the weapon put 10 shots into a 1 inch circle - the kill-zone on small caliber airgun game and pests. IMHO, a 1-MOA airgun is practical at 100 yards but, since rabbits stay the same size, useless for hunting/pesting beyond that range. 1-MOA is impressive at 200 and 300 yards if you're shooting paper if that’s your thing. :) I suspect (just guessing based on personal experience) that the small diameter and low volume of the .177 bore makes it difficult to get enough HPA behind the slug, limiting the velocity. With limited volume, the only way to get more energy behind the slug would be to work at higher pressures. I have a couple of .177 PCPs and they are ok below 18-20 fpe, which is fine by me. Bet if you put a .22 barrel on that action you'd have no trouble pushing a 25-30 grain slug over 1000 fps. Cheers!

Yep great gun but HOLY COW expensive... Will See working on ah super high power .177. Condor. My condor was pushing those 13.4 grain slugs like 1200 fps. On the redwolf max was like 970 fps. So possible but you know direct flow is amazing with these condors on power. Thanks for watching and agree kind of feel bad about showing these expensive rifles WAY overkill.

@@ShootingTargets727 Please, don't feel bad about showing the expensive airguns! They exist because there's a market for them and even if they are out of budget it's good to know what that $$$$ level buys. FYI, Here (Canada) a the Air Arms run $1800-$2100 (cndn$); Daystates $3400-$4000; FX $2400 $3000 and Weihrauch (PCPs) $1500-$1900. I enjoy your videos!

Just a thought... With high power, large caliber PCPs for long range shooting stealing the show I think it has been forgotten that 90% of the people don't shoot beyond 50 yards and really don't need the operating cost of that kinda airgun. Have you tried a Weihrauch HW100? It's a reasonably priced PCP that is well designed, well made, accurate and a real pleasure to shoot. Think a review of the HW100 might appeal to a lot of viewers as it's a traditional style, heirloom quality airgun that's excellent value for the money. Fill pressure is only 200 bar so it's hand-pumpable or there's lots of refills in a HPA tank. I have a pair of them, .177 (19 fpe) and .22 caliber (30 fpe) and both are right-out-of-the-box great plinking, pesting, target and small game hunting airguns. www.pyramydair.com/product/hw-100-tk-pcp-air-rifle-walnut-thumbhole?m=2263
