She genuinely scares the living daylights out of me.

She's my favorite Lady Macbeth to date.

I am aware they cut and cropped parts of the play out for the sake of tension but it's surprising still to follow her speech from, '...without the illness should attend it,' jumping to 'Hie thee hither...' Fleetwood is incredible though, I always go to her scenes in the play because they're so engaging and dramatic.

Absolutely magnificent. Better than Judi Dench's portrayal.

The raven himself is hoarse That croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan Under my battlements. Come, you spirits That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full Of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood. Stop up the access and passage to remorse, That no compunctious visitings of nature Shake my fell purpose, nor keep peace between The effect and it! Come to my woman’s breasts, And take my milk for gall, you murd'ring ministers, Wherever in your sightless substances You wait on nature’s mischief. Come, thick night, And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell, That my keen knife see not the wound it makes, Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark To cry “Hold, hold!"

can someone tell me what she was saying at the beggining? we are having a soliloquy and i plan to use this one but i cant understand what she was saying plss
@gatdill42236 жыл бұрын
cm escritor she’s basically saying that Macbeth is the than of glamis and now cawdor. The witches prophesied him becoming thane of Cawdor and one day becoming king. LM thinks he is too weak to do what is necessary for him to become king.
