Couldn't agree more. I'm a month in and I'd spent so much time pouring over technique videos but it got frustrating I wasn't having the same results as the video wanted. But found the Brofessor and quote his videos when I'm out there. Gonna get some custom balls with GIOTG on one side and just breathe Playa on the other with a guy in a bowl hat logo. It's really only a game, it's nice getting better but you don't get better until you understand where you're at.

That's the thing. It's such a mindset problem - hitting AT the ball - we don't have the drills and the reinforcement and confidence to just swing and let the ball get in the way. We all release way before the ball and lose speed. Your max x speed should be a couple inches after impact

I played golf about a dozen times a year for 15 years or so. Never took it very seriously, just a way to hang out with friends…also never broke 100. I remember seeing Se Ri Pak win her first U.S. Open, and thinking how smooth and effortless her swing was. I decided to try and copy it, focusing on a smooth tempo and controlled misses. Swapped to a “ladies” ball, and swung controlled. Within 4 rounds I broke 90, and by the end of the summer my handicap was officially a 12. I played this way for a couple of years before adding a bit more speed to my swing. I’ve never played enough to try and get better, but I enjoy playing more than ever. If I feel like my ball striking is off on the range pre-round…I just go back to that tempo.

Brilliant to see the difference between a pro swing and a very good golfers swing and compare.. Bo’s tempo is half of yours Matt.. and just as she completes the top of her back swing her hips have already fired!! And cleared before she hits the ball.. whereas yours Matt start to fire when your already bringing the club down and struggle to catch up!!! So interesting to see as you still produce good shots yet don’t have the same consistency as Bo .... maybe this 1 thing is the difference between being the amateur or becoming the pro??? Definitely something I will work on and pay more attention to..

Hi Matt, im wondering why especially from the tee you don't learn from bo, her swing looks easy but she's putting effort in because its controlled, thats why she's stable and can hold her position, you seem to force it off the tee, swing as hard as you can control, you won't loose any distance, you may even gain distance and will have a lot more accuracy.

I have a video request. Play a modified scramble with Bo, but use her every shot; except you must finish the hole or add one to the score. If she sinks a 20 footer, you must also sink it to take her score. If she finishes off with a 5-foot par save, which we know she will, you have to do the same. Although not quantifiable, it will be interesting in you can FINISH LIKE A PRO and we will see just how you compare to her on every shot.

It’s more expensive but it’s mandatory. It’s $10 USD for the caddie fee then around $10-$20 tip after the round

@@GolfSidekick Im from the Southern states near the Gulf of mexico. Water temps are about 90 degrees by August, wind doesn't really blow much either. So a typical afternoon is about 95 degrees with humidity around 80-90%...probably not as bad as where you play...but it sucks

So I notice a few things; one is the alignment is always to the right for the first shot, gotta make sure you are aiming where you want to... another thing about the commitment for each shot. you know that it will go right, so you line up for that aiming left trying to compensate. trust me I do this all the time brother. and watch some of her swings back. notice how she deliberately starts her hips before her hands in the swing. your hands are coming down at almost the same time as your hips. Now she really emphasizes that in her swing, but I have notice it makes a difference in what shot shape I make as well, where most of the time it is straight with a slight draw when I start my hips and let the club follow. And I know how it feels to get advice from playas that don't score good, especially on the innerwebs. Just some productive criticism I hope there guy

Matt, how would you compare Bo's game to Gen Ling? They both have very smooth and patient swings, but Bo's seems a tad slower. Also, who has more distance off the tee?

Distance is the same. If Bo cared more, and was less lackadaisical, she would be 2-3 shots lower per round - she is ALMOST too chill. Hard to compare with Genevieve, because Bo plays more on tours and Gen has been sidelined due to the problems lately. Maybe one day, head to head match on the channel.

Every round. Usually the expected amount for that course and if i makes video and the caddie is good then, 100-300 baht above the minimum for their course. But if no birdie then they have to pay me!!!!!!!!!!
