The tuning Inabakumori uses for their songs is so distinct, and is such an integral part of their music, that it must make covering them super difficult. I’d heard Lagtrain plenty of times before, but then this cover drops right as I’m in the middle of a depressive episode. Made me want to look up the lyrics and what the song’s all about. Really ended up connecting with it. In a disconnected way, Girl DM actually helped me out with this cover. So anyway, that’s why this was my most played song of 2023 *by a wide margin* and part of the reason I decided to order the new knife. Thanks for helping me sort myself out. Happy streaming.
