Want to add some things: You can buy a MetroCard at the “Hudson News” vendors inside the airport. The MetroCards purchased here are not subject to the $1 new card fee. Purchasing a MetroCard from the machines at the airport or subway station, and the ticket booth at the subway station are subject to the $1 new card fee. When using a Pay Per Ride MetroCard (currently $2.75 each ride), you get one free transfer between the bus and the subway, as long as the transfer is made within 2 hours of the first use. So even if the MTA stops making the Q70 bus free, you will still get a free transfer to the subway system. So the entire ride will still cost $2.75. When using an Unlimited Ride MetroCard, everyone in your party will need to purchase one. You will need to wait 18 minutes between uses on the same bus route or subway station so the card can’t be shared. Subway service on the weekends is usually different than the weekdays do to planned maintenance and service changes. This website is amazing for showing the service changes on the weekends and the author updates it every Friday: subwayweekender.wordpress.com Be wary of illegal taxis and car services at the airport, who may charge higher fares. You can always see if a driver is licensed by checking their credentials inside the vehicle. For those on mobile Timestamps 2:12 - Purchasing a MetroCard (NYC's Payment Method for the Public Transportation System) 3:35 - Purchasing a fare for the Q70 or M60 Select Bus Service 10:45 - Boarding the Q70 Select Bus Service to Jackson Heights - Roosevelt Avenue 33:50 - Exiting the Q70 Select Bus Service at Jackson Heights - Roosevelt Avenue 35:10 - Entering the Subway System 40:10 - Boarding the E train to Manhattan 58:55 - Exiting the E train at 7th Avenue - 53rd Street

buying a MetroCard. As I'm not going to use my debit card, I am only going to use Cash. At JFK will there be the same vendors inside the airport?
@ActionKid5 жыл бұрын
@@leverseidge1990 Yes, I saw Hudson News inside JFK as well. You can buy a MetroCard there with cash. The AirTrain from JFK currently costs $5.00 in MetroCard fare (They're considering raising the price to $7.75). However, taking the AirTrain to any of the airport terminals is free. There are MTA public buses at Terminal 5 which only cost $2.75 and connect to the subway system (but it's a much longer ride than the AirTrain).

Before I ever saw what you look like,by the sound of your voice I had always envisioned you as a curly frizzy haired Jewish guy with that marvelous NYC accent you have. You are truly an American New Yorker! Have you ever watched the TV show called Snapped? The first narrator of that show I had always envisioned her are a feisty red headed Irish woman,until I saw what she looked like and realized at that time how voices do not determine what a person could possibly look like if you never see then speaking but only hear their voices. I thought she was Irish for years until one day she appeared as a guest star on a TV show and I kept saying to myself..."Why does her voice sound so familiar?" Until she said in a sentence is her script... (You know you can do that "too"?) She always had a unique way of saying "too" like no other person I've ever heard before or since. It is almost comedic how she says that "too" LMAO
