From listening at Devon part of his perfection was staying married as marriage is presumably a life time . Allowing himself to come true to being normal could have meant freedom for a marriage just wasn't working. I'm sure he wants children and to create a legacy. I think they were a attractive couple but that's all I saw. I don't know who either of them truly are. I think we need to stop cheerleading for what we are not knowing. I don't dislike Meghan but all I see of her is her posting herself all the time . I like to see a celebrity use the voice and themselves for something of value and purpose. Let's not forget she is a actress and speaks like one. Praying for there peace ✌️

I am a fan of both them. He gives good advice and she is a great actress. It is hard to stay married and both their careers could but them in a real uncomfortable feel of how you look at questionable choices. Then since both are front and center in a media form they have others adding their two cents about their situation. I wish they could work it out. Who knows what the future holds. Love, peace, and happiness for all!!!

I remember they did an interview where he spoke about his expectation of her cooking. She said she tried to remember when she is home that he likes for her to cook. I obviously don't know them. But it seems loke he had expectations of a more traditional wife. And she is not that. Not that she is a bad wife. It's just she is an actress she can't be traditional unless she quit her job. I have seen many time that men have certain expectations of you or they are good with you being independent until you get with them. Then they want you to let go of girl time, and working so much etc. That's not fair to do without communicating before hand.

Meghan Good’s revelation on her divorce is her personal experience but also a general statement of how most feel after a divorce. A divorce is a death a loss of a union and for those of us who have been through a divorce it’s a hurtful period. You grieve just as if someone physically died. You go through the grieving process and then you finally should come to acceptance and healing and realize life goes on. What really established their divorce only them 2 know and their close family and friends. And God knows all.

@Lailahlynn great content as always. Wasn't the first comment today, but that's ok...😆 In all seriousness, I really needed to hear this today because I too am in the process of a divorce and although my ex is being difficult I am doing my best to walk away as amicable as possible. I realize that at the end of the day, God loved me before I was thought of, in the womb, when I was born, today, tomorrow and always. And although this is a season of change, and it's the unknown, I have to trust that He had something better for me at the end of all of this. So thank you for your content! Peace and blessings to all!

@tashundrapeoples75022 жыл бұрын
Sounds like Devon had an existential crisis with the unfortunate discovery that his marriage was no longer what he thought it was or possibly what he hoped it would be. We’re human and mostly broken until we do the work necessary to deal with past traumas or realize what truly drives our action ie, come realize which attitudes and behaviors serve us well versus those that are a detriment. Sometimes, along our journeys we enter into relationships and make connections that simply cannot be maintained because they were developed while one was a very different version of oneself. I pray they both heal and find joy in the journey ahead.

I am sure he did countless time. This is beyond humiliating. He knew full well those cackling hens would be “I told you so.” He let her go because SHE did not want to be kept. @@nikkyluv2244 you’re not listening Nikky. The why is there lol. You just want a concrete spelt out verbatim why, and that you will not get because failure especially of a marriage is hard to admit. So I will tell you my why, as an outside looking in. Devon married a beautiful woman highly desired. If he wanted marriage he could have easily chosen an everyday woman. But he came across Meg, and if you look at earlier interviews it was Meg who basically said god told her that HE was her husband. This man fell for the manipulation, and probably was excited that someone as famous and gorgeous as Meg desired HIM. They courted, and basically thought they were each other’s life support. Meg had been dogged out basically by all her previously men in that they would never marry her after they used her up sexually. Then she came across Devon this so called celibate man, and basically turned him out or on however you want to look at it. In short, the marriage did not work because they were going in opposite directions, or desired to go in opposite directions. And from my point of view it’s foundation is because Meg did not ultimately want to have his children, and be a mother.

Before they separated he did mention in an interview that he had to come to realization that he had unspoken expectations for Megan. He said that he found himself being upset at one point because he was expecting her as a wife to be home and cook a home cooked meal everyday or at least most of the time. He said when she didn’t do that he was frustrated and when they finally discussed it, he had to recognize that she wasn’t the type that wanted to cook everyday etc. I think he said she was willing to do it sometimes but that just wasn’t who she was. He had the idea in his head that she would be a certain way and do certain things as his wife and she had a different view. He said he really had to deal with this and his perception of what he thought a marriage should be. He used this particular story about cooking but I’m sure there were other areas as well that may have been conflicting even though they loved eachother. I think they both had a different view of what their life would look like and they didn’t have certain conversations that they should have had beforehand .

Never expect someone or something to magically fix you or fulfill you; not even religion. Guess it just goes to show we're all humans trying to figure it out until we find what works for us.
