Thanks for reminding me how lucky I am to live in Switzerland! A day trip to Andermat and back, taking in the famous passes, is about 8 hours for me, I managed it once this year. The old cobbled Gotthard Pass, the "Tremola" is quite an experience, worth doing but maybe not 2-up on a Goldwing! I made the descent on my Street Triple no problem at all. If you ever want to stay in Western Switzerland get in touch!

I also feel blessed to be living in NW Switzerland. I’ve done the main passes in the Swiss alps but have not been on the cobbled Tremola. And I rode the Route Napoleon down to Menton and back this September - I probably missed you and Mrs Flyer by a week.

Lake Lucerne looks amazing! Switzerland has a very special place in my heart as I've been to Geneva so many times for long periods of time. The views from North shores of Lake Geneva looking South with the French and Italian Alps in the background is just like Lake Lucerne. It just takes your breath away. The Freshness of the Air is like nowhere in the World.

I stayed at Lucerne 30 odd years ago, you know you're somewhere POSH when the hotel had remote control curtains and all the motobikes parked up outside the local Pizza Hut had all their keys in the ignitions, After 10 years living in South London, I was gobsmacked. The music in the Lucerne section reminded me, the few days I was there, Ackerbilk lost his jewel encrusted clarinet at the railway station. He was offering 100,00 swiss francs for its return, I too agree Switzerland and Cote Da Zur are the most beautiful places I've ever been

I've been to many parts of the world (one glaring omission - South America), but for me Europe is the best, all factors considered - & to live without a doubt. I think the Lucerne hotel is the same one Royal Jordanian stayed at a few years ago on his amazing Duke 790 review, it's still on my list. I used to have a German girlfriend from the Black Forest (or Scharzwald as they call it - what you said was something wierd 🤣😳), & know it well; a lovely part of the world. Thanks again for another great installment of a really well put together series, will be sad to see the last one next week!!

It’s wet, miserable, windy and cold in the UK, the darkness descends at around 3.30 in the afternoon and my motorbikes are tucked up in the garage for winter. I have two tours inked in the diary with mates for next year on my new toy, my 23 plate BMW K1600 bagger. The first trip takes in France, Belgium and Luxembourg in May and the second is a tour of the Brittany coastline in July. Winter evenings are spent planning and dreaming about what joys lie ahead. Your tours and especially this one, are helping to keep me going until spring arrives and takes me back to my first Goldwing tour of France and Italy back in 1998, it is a fantastic bike to tour on and I’m hoping that my new BMW will prove to be equally as good especially as it is full of 21st century gadgetry that my 1995 Wing didn’t have back in the day. Enjoying this series……..thanks for keeping my biking juices satisfied through winter. 👍

Mr.Squeak. All good when I can see it for free on the net. Great views and great riding. I still like a curve, with or without legs. Nice to do those passes both directions. Whole other experience. 1958 Vette. Beautiful lake and great roads. Some wonderful engineering on those snow covers. Crackin' weather and blue skies. Good fortune on that. At some time in life a boat ride on the lake is in order. We have a big base in Baden Baden. Many friends served there. Beautiful ride. Lot of history in those mountains. All good from east Kentucky USA Next time

Baden-Baden…a town so good they named it twice 😀. Restaurant options in the evening not so good. Did the B500 a few years ago and a great road - we were lucky as we met a guy who had tried the road half-a-dozen times and had previously always found it blanketed in mist. But that’s biking, explore and sometimes you are rewarded with life-long happy memories.

Hey Andy, thank you very much for sharing this video with us. You have really outdone yourself with this one. As you'd say, you really pushed the boat out with this series. I hope to see my folks in SA again soon, and if God spares us all, I'd definitely show them this tour. That is how good it is and my parents are now 80! Such a treat this, wish it was an hour, but I appreciate the amount of effort you have to put in to bring this to us must be massive. In 2015 and 2016 I rode with BMW off road skills in Spain and Portugal each year on the GS bikes. I had a camera on my helmet. I showed my parents a few clips but not much. Maybe one day I will try and condense all of them in a video that won't bore people, but I can see how it can take forever to do. Take care

Switzerland certainly looks an amazing place to ride a motorbike, though perhaps not in that particular star rating hotel every night lol. Nothing wrong with 'spoiling' yourselves once in a while though. My Saturday/Sunday mornings will be a smidgeon minutely less exciting as another tour comes to an end.
