LAKE ST. CLAIR MICHIGAN ICE FISHING REPORT 1-27-22

HEY YO! Today we are checking the ice and snow conditions at all the popular fishing locations around Lake St. Clair. I did not drill holes at every spot because at this point, you should know that we have a lot of ice. I did try to give you an idea of where to fish at these locations though, so I hope that helps.
We stopped at Crocker boat launch, Lake St. Clair Metropark, Selfridge, Brandenburgh, Harley, Fairhaven boat launch and the Raft.

Fished Fair Haven about about a week ago and ice was already 12" thick. Its locked up good and you can walk pretty far out. Just as always use good judgment

I fished Brandenburg Jan 26, right at the end of the pier.. ice was about 4 inches.. plenty safe but I didnt go out past the pier. only landed 6 perch, all around the 5 -6 in range

@@MichiganderOutdoors you need to always be cautious when you fish brandenburg there’s a decent amount of current out past the pier and it deteriorates the ice from under to over…

The guy out there with the Ford Fusion that’s like 5 feet of water and it’s probably 12+ inches of ice because that’s been locked up for weeks now

I figured there is always alot of ice there. When they have the races, you always have a crap ton of trailers and machines right next to each other and no issues.
