Y'know, I love bass fishin', but I grew up crappie and cat fishing. Pole and Trot line. Love these videos more than bass. You've become my favorite fishin' youtuber by far. Keep it up lfg. Stay golden.

I always enjoy your videos, Justin and seeing what you and Mike have been up to lately has been a blast. Having said this, I'm disappointed that Mike didn't even take the time to bonk the fish on the head before he started skinning it alive. Fish may not feel pain, but not everyone knows this so I wouldn't be surprised if you catch some flack for this video. It wouldn't have taken any time whatsoever to just stab it in the head or bonk it. I'm surprised you chose to include that.

Any video you do is awesome brother. I definitely enjoy your River and Creek videos. With the weather getting cooler ya outta do another crappie video too..... Idk if you make jerky but you outta do a video on making some outta your deer. Also the way you catch gar is stuff a big treble hook in the bottom of a tube sock. Poke the points threw the sock. Fill the sock with cut Gill or carp pieces. Try and avoid putting bones in the sock. Tie the sock shut with a bread tie and dip it in stink bait or blood. The Gar will tangle it's teeth in the sock and struggle. It will hook itself pretty much. Make sure you tie off to something. You not just your pole. Good luck from Mr. Murphy in Oklahoma

I've never done it but I seem to remember somebody telling me how they caught gar. It involved bacon and unwound twine/small diameter rope. They come in for the bacon then their mouths/teeth get caught up in in all the loose fibers, start to roll in the water and further entrap themselves. You either tie off the rope/twine on land or in the boat and wait IIRC.

LFG if you want some advice on a better sound quality in the fish cave hit me up. One quick thing would be a few foam wedges in the corners. Right angles create the echo effect. The sound bounces of the wall to the other wall. Also, compression (with a noise gate) can get rid of some of the airiness in the sound. But everything else looks and sounds great.
@mikesanchezgsxr6 жыл бұрын
Looks like a blast on that airboat. I built a square back canoe up to be my river fishing boat with some hydrdynamic outriggers that I can bring in when it gets skinny. I just have a 2019 4hp Tohatsu that I put a 6hp carb on to juice it up, have a Garmin fish finder on it. The air boat looks all kinds of fun though.

That's a nice size blue cat and it definitely took the jug line a good way up the river. I've never tried jug line, only a trotline twice and I didn't even catch anything but when I go for catfish I just use a rod and reel. I'm mostly a bass fisherman so I don't really go fishing for catfish except for maybe 5 times a year.

Not sure why everyone's crying over the fish being fillet alive. always have done that myself. use the rest of the body for catfish bait. its a fish my dudes. also if they didn't have any ice to keep the fish fresh they would have to keep it alive to keep it fresh. I would recommend clipping the gills first and letting it bleed out to keep the meat whiter next time.
@zmrcfishingvideos6 жыл бұрын
I'd like to point out I'd only keep a catfish alive while filleting. they cant feel it.

If your in a river, jug lines are not the best thing to use that’s good for lakes and ponds! Trout lines and limb lines with live crawfish or dead stinky ones is what you wanna use I promise you! And iv caught 50 and 60 pounders out of the Tchoutacabouffa river in south Mississippi out of almost every bend over the past 10 years and My dads been doing it all his life I run lines a lot. But the best way to do it is go before dark set them and then go back in the morning give the lines at least 12 hours to soak, And your gona Tare them up I promise you!
