He scored 21 points in the 4th to lead one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history but that wasn't even the greatest thing he did in the game. Just notice that towards the end of the quarter, he did something that most star players won't do anymore. He told B Shaw to move away and he decided to take Steve Nash himself and ended up forcing nash to turn the ball over twice. THAT more than anything is why Kobe was one of the greatest ever. He NEVER EVER backed down from a challenge. NEVER.

Game 7, 2006 Western Conference playoffs. I'd say that was a time. Game 6, 2008 NBA Finals...I'd say that was another. Dallas was way too soft mentally...the Lakers had a psychological advantage over them during the Nash/Nowitzki run.

+Devin Fuller This game here, Kobe was the most instrumental in overcoming the deficit. Over their seasons where they won 3 titles in a row, Shaq was the single most impossible force to deal with in the NBA. 3 straight finals MVP's, and it wasn't even close. Shaq was so dominant in the playoffs then, if he had 35 pts and 15 boards, it was like "Oh well".

27 pts and 11 boards is hardly getting shut down, but Shaq clearly had lost that "umph" that year. Kobe averaged 22 pts on 38% shooting that series, and was clearly frustrated by Teyshaun. Kobe getting stifled, and Karl Malone having a torn knee were the big reasons why the Lakers lost.

I continued watchin' the game in hopes we'd make some type of run & we did. Well, we all know what happened as a result of the Lakers steppin' it up & not givin' up.......WE WON!!! I left my Daddios house without wakin' him up to announce we had one. One of my really good dudes calls my Dad's house to speak to me about us comin' back & winnin', but I was gone by then. He told my Daddio what happened& his response was "GREAT DAY IN THE MORNIN!!!"

MIchelKay that shit they say that shaq lead the lakers all those years, when shaq himself said the best player in the world WAS KOBE ! Kobe is the most underrated player of all time because alot of people didnt see his greatness truly how it is, because they always compare him to jordan ! They forget jordan IS undoubtedly the GREATEST of all time, and that everyone believed their would never be another player moderately to as close to that kind of dominating player in the game ever again, then kobe came along ! people forgot how hard it was to be this good since jordan came along ! oDont under value this art, kobe painted the chapels man !
@CaliforniaEDM
@CaliforniaEDM 8 жыл бұрын
+Christian Zarate I think apart of the reason why people underrated him was because of all the bullshit he was going through like the rape case and the Shaq fued. the media really misconstrued the person that he really is and only payed attention on the bad things, not the good, no one ever really talked about this man's dedication to the game. this dude only got one mvp throughout his whole career, that really speaks about the kind of media we had throughout his prime years.

I’m a laker fan for life but I gotta admit the refs rigged me into the finals in 02. Never wanted to admit it but after watching the dodgers get robbed by the home plate ump against the Astros a couple years ago I can see why sac was so mad over game 6. Game 5 of the 17 series was supposedly the goat but I saw the woat in terms of umpiring. Lakers definitely shouldn’t have won in 02

Not even. Forget Game 4 of the Finals. Without Kobe, they don't even make the Finals. That Game 7 against Portland, he scored 8 points, helped get some key stops, and of course, the alley-oop to Shaq. He led the Lakers in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks in that game. He was The Man, in that game.

This game had gigantic implications as it turned out in 2002-03. Dallas tied San Antonio for the league's best record, but the Spurs had tiebreakers. The Spurs got all the spoils- division title, best record in conference and league, home-court advantage all postseason. If they just hold onto that 4th quarter lead, they're the #1 seed and have homecourt advantage all the way. For those that say the NBA regular season doesn't ultimately matter big-picture, I give you this game.

21 points in the 4th, locked down a red hot Steve Nash on two straight possessions (causing TO's), and sank the game winner. People seem to forget vintage Mamba.

And the devil media tries to erase this history. CLOWNS. We gonna keep this footage of his GAME ALIVE. Not just 'mamba mentality'. His actual GAME.
