I'm actually building one of these myself. I had an arch draw up specs for me. He outlined using full length LVL boards for the rafters. I'm doing a 30' rafters with a 30' floor base. LVLs will be 1-3/4x 7-1/4 by 30'. I purposefully picked an A-frame because I can do it myself. Beats paying a contractor 6x as much for the same product.

Thanks for the informative video. It's pretty rare to see A Frame houses in North Dakota and Minnesota, unless one goes up North, aka to the lakes, aka at the cabin, OR Backwater, which is next to Canada. But, they're fun. Do you have any experience or ever built a basement? I'm iterested in basement videos.
